Join us for the "Step into Connection" Autism Acceptance Walk, a community‑centered fundraiser celebrating Autism, inclusion, and belonging. This meaningful walk brings together individuals, families, friends, and allies to raise awareness, build understanding, and support Autistic individuals across our community.

Whether you walk, donate, or cheer from the sidelines, your participation helps create a more connected and accepting world for people of all abilities. Every step makes a difference—and every person is welcome.

Come as you are and walk with purpose. Together, let’s move forward—one step, one smile, one connection at a time.

As the largest Autism resource event in the Inland Empire, this walk brings together families, service providers, and community leaders to raise awareness and support individuals with Autism.

Good care starts with good information.

For individuals with autism and their families, treatment decisions shouldn’t feel uncertain or rushed.

They should be guided by:
• Meaningful data
• Honest expectations
• Individual goals and preferences

Not assumptions. Not pressure.

At IPMG, we focus on:
✔ Clear, evidence-informed options
✔ Open conversations about benefits and risks
✔ Care that respects neurodiversity and personal choice

Because treatment isn’t about fitting into a system.
It’s about having the information needed to choose what’s right for you.

Informed care leads to empowered decisions.

Clinical trial participation is never mandatory

The anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) has connections to both the “emotional” limbic system and the “cognitive” prefrontal cortex.

The ACC likely has an important role in integration of neuronal circuitry for mood regulation and can be identified as a distinctive region in understanding psychopathology or “symptoms that affect your life significantly.”

Mood-regulation, the ability to control and manage uncomfortable emotions, is a primary goal for mental health clinicians when coming up with a treatment plan tailored to their patients symptoms.

Avoidance of painful emotions is often the motivating force in negative behaviors such as substance abuse, binge eating, etc.

These actions are taken as part of maladaptive approaches to control, avoid, or regulate painful emotions.

Clinicians often create treatment plans that develop a combination of pathways to improve outcomes.

Goal is to develop more adaptive coping mechanisms in regulating emotions.

Understanding the processes by which ACC contributes to regulation of emotions may assist clinicians in their therapeutic work.

Treatment plans include:
Talk Therapy: CBT, DBT, etc
Medication: Anti-depressants, Anti-Anxiety, Mood Stabilizers , etc
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Spravato (Esketamine)
New Investigational Products via Clinical Trials

Your prefrontal cortex is one of the last parts of your brain to fully mature. During childhood the basic structure starts to form. Then it keeps changing throughout your teen years, as well as into early adulthood.

During this time, your brain strengthens the connections it uses most. Then, it lets go of the ones it doesn’t need. It also adds insulation (called myelin) to help signals travel faster and more smoothly.

These changes improve judgment, self-control and long-term planning. For most people, the PFC fully develops by the mid-20s. Fine-tuning may take a bit longer.

The prefrontal cortex helps you focus when you’re finishing work, manage your emotions when you’re frustrated and set goals like saving money for something you want. It also plays a big part in how you interact with others, like calming down during an argument or deciding the right words to say to a friend.

If you notice changes in your focus, mood or behavior, don’t ignore them. Tell a mental healthcare provider — Inland Psychiatric Medical Group - Redlands is here to help.

Different Treatment options are available
