“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15

Corrie Ten Boom, a holocaust survivor, author and devoted christian, consistently taught that peace wasn’t the absence of suffering, but the presence of Christ within it. She once said, “You can never learn that Christ is all you need, until Christ is all you have.”

That kind of surrender is what allows the peace of Christ to rule in the heart.

Isaiah 26:3

When Charles Spurgeon preached on this verse, he called it “a pearl of promise”, it’s a deep assurance for every believer. He explained that this peace doesn’t come from circumstances, but from a mind fixed on God, anchored in trusting Him.

Spurgeon said:
“Faith is the road to peace, for by it we come to Jesus, who is our peace.”

Peace is not found in escape or ease, but in entrusting every area of our lives to the One who rules all things.
True peace comes from Christ alone.

Peace isn’t a feeling you chase, it’s a fruit of trusting the Lord.

Christ doesn’t offer the fragile peace of the world. He gives His own unshakable peace. One that is steadfast even in our hardest days, His peace holds us.

Charles Spurgeon once said:
“There is no cure for the heart’s trouble but the peace of Christ.”

Take heart today: if your soul is weary, there is still peace in the presence of Jesus
