Community Hospice

Community Hospice Community Hospice is a family owned hospice organization with a Hospice House in Vidalia, GA. Community Hospice has been serving the Community since 1999.

As the original hospice for this area, Community Hospice has over 13 years of service to terminally ill patients and their families. In 2005, Community Hospice founded the area’s only Hospice inpatient facility, Community Hospice House. Today, Community Hospice continues to provide Home Hospice, Hospice House (inpatient), Hospice in Nursing Homes, as well as Hospice in Assisted Living Facilities. Community Hospice provides compassionate hospice care to 14 counties in southeast Georgia. Community Hospice is dedicated to providing the most compassionate care possible and believes in going above and beyond for both patients and their families. Community Hospice has a variety of outreach programs to help individuals who may be having difficult journeys. This week, we proudly celebrate Pastoral Care Week — and we are honored to recognize our two incredible chaplains, Brian Durden and Robert Beckum

One of my favorite community events each year is the Business Expo, hosted by the Greater Vidalia Chamber. It’s always a fun and engaging way to connect with local businesses and community members—almost like adult trick-or-treating with great giveaways! This year was another success, and Community Hospice was proud to participate and represent our mission of care and compassion in the community. 💚

Special thanks to Wendi James Cason, Joshua Green, Kristi Morris Whitney, and Lindsey Dees Lawrence for helping represent Community Hospice so well! 💚

We enjoyed speaking to each and everyone who stopped by our booth. We gave away pizza cutters and lightweight magnetic flashlights which were a huge hit! 💚
