☀️What pairs well with sunshine and summertime? —— SWIMMING 🤿☀️

And swimming often means exposure to chlorine. Chlorine is know to strip the natural oils from the skin that protect the skin barrier from invaders. Chlorine also mixes with organic matter, like sweat, to create Chloramines. Chloramines are more disruptive and often harsher to the skin barrier.

How do we protect from these harsh chemicals? —- Vitamin C

Yes, Vitamin C (aka ascorbic acid) is a powerful antioxidant that effectively neutralizes both Chlorine and Chloramines on the skin.

Easy steps to help protect your kids from Chlorine:
Shower/bathe prior to pool exposure.
Spray Vitamin C spray all over body and hair.
Apply sunscreen (if necessary).
After exposure, wash off all water.
Spray Vitamin C spray religiously to body and hair.
Moisturize skin with lotion/tallow.

Let your babies enjoy a pool but also protect them from harsh chemicals.

Older siblings often need encouragement and guidance when getting a new sibling!

At our office we make sure to include the siblings throughout the exam so they feel included and valued. We make sure to help foster early boding between the newborn and the older sibling by assisting them with safety tips when holding and interacting with the new baby. And of course, we are there to answer any questions they might have regarding their new role. ❤️

✨✨Let those kids play in the dirt! ✨✨

Turns out that stuff we are constantly trying to wash off, is good! Studies have shown that direct contact with dirt/soil helps the body regulate its immune system by training the immune system to react appropriately to bacteria and diversifying the gut microbe. It has also been studied and found to help the stress response and overall mood.

Children were meant to play outside and explore various environments. & time outside means sunlight/vitamin D, physical activity/movement, fresh air anddddd fun!
