(RLLC) was founded in 2002 as a center for the treatment of dyslexia and language deficits in children and adults. In addition to treatment, it has engaged in clinical program development in the areas of phonemic awareness and higher level reading programs for middle and high school students. The center provides a wide range of services for children and adults with speech, language and reading disorders. The RLLC owners have more than 30 years combined experience working in the field as Speech-Language Pathologists. We ensure a high quality of treatment and customer satisfaction.

📚 Banned Books Week reminds us how powerful stories can be and how everyone deserves access to them.

At RLLC, we believe that every child should have the tools and support to read freely and confidently.

We take that mission a step further by helping readers with dyslexia unlock that freedom through evidence-based instruction and support. 💪💙

This Dyslexia Awareness Month, we celebrate the right to read and the importance of making reading accessible for all. 🌎✨

When a child struggles with reading, the challenge often begins before the words hit the page — in how their brain processes language. 🧠

Join us for Ask the Experts: Understanding Dyslexia as a Language-Based Learning Difference, a free virtual event designed to help parents and educators understand why dyslexia is rooted in language, not vision.

Our speaker, Nada Abderrhaman, SLP & Literacy Specialist, will break down how language skills like phonological awareness and decoding impact reading development. She’ll also guide participants through a short interactive simulation to help you experience what reading can feel like for a student with dyslexia.

You’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of dyslexia and practical ways to support your child’s literacy growth at home and in the classroom.

Reading shouldn’t feel like a constant uphill climb. ❤️

For kids with dyslexia, the challenge isn’t intelligence it’s how their brain connects sounds and letters. With the right kind of support, reading can click into place.

At RLLC, we help students discover the gift of reading through proven, evidence-based approaches because every child deserves to feel confident with words.

🔠 Dyslexia isn’t about seeing letters backwards. It’s about how the brain processes spoken language and connects it to print.

When kids struggle with phonological awareness (hearing and playing with sounds in words), that makes it harder to map those sounds to letters. Add in the demands of orthography (spelling patterns) and morphology (word parts like -ing or un-), and reading can feel like climbing uphill with weights on.

Support that builds these language foundations, not just more flashcards, is what creates real change.

📖 Dyslexia is not a reflection of intelligence.

It’s a neurobiological learning difference that makes reading, spelling, and word recognition more challenging. Without support, these difficulties can ripple into vocabulary growth and confidence.

That’s why awareness and early intervention matter. Every child deserves the chance to unlock their full potential. ❤️
