So excited to attend PWSRG's monthly networking breakfast meeting, hosted by UVA Prince William Medical Center. It was great connecting with professionals in the community and learning more about our community hospital system in Prince William and Culpeper. We can't wait for next month, new faces and making new connections.

Training days are a lot of fun at Grace in Motion. With over 20 years experience working with mobility equipment, Brian is a wealth of knowledge for those learning in the field. We are very lucky to have him at Grace in Motion. Today, he trained our newest team member, Kathleen, who also happens to be his wife, on an Elan installation.

Did you know that power lift chairs are not only good for those who need assistance with sit-to-stand movement, but they can also help patients post-surgery actually recover faster?
A study conducted by The Chief, Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery showed that patients recovering in a power lift chair had a shorter recovery time with more comfort and faster hospital discharge than patients recovering in a traditional hospital bed.
Lift chair patients saw an earlier home readiness, meeting discharge criteria faster. They were able to ambulate and void sooner than hospital bed patients and also achieved better pain control and an acceptable level of consciousness, allowing for earlier discharge home.

We had a great visit with BrightStar Care Leesburg today! We took some time trying out some different mobility equipment and learning more about how to support our shared clients and customers. No visit to Grace in Motion is complete without taking some scooters and power chairs out for a spin! A big thank you to BrightStar Care for coming to visit us!
