🎗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎗

At NovaGyn Women’s Care, we’re committed to supporting the health and well-being of our patients through early detection and education. Mammograms are a crucial tool in detecting breast cancer early, when treatment is most effective.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that women begin discussing their breast cancer screening options at age 40, and based on individual risk factors, consider annual or biennial mammograms.

An important information to share with our patients!

At The Menopause Society, we're committed to providing evidence-based information on menopause management. That’s why we’re addressing concerns regarding the significant increase in misinformation and disinformation promoted by some healthcare professionals about the management of menopause and particularly about hormone therapy.

Our goal is to offer a balanced perspective in to providing accurate, research-backed information on menopause management, including the appropriate use of hormone therapy:

◼️ Hormone therapy remains first-line therapy for management of bothersome vasomotor symptoms and is indicated for the treatment of genitourinary syndrome of menopause, primary ovarian insufficiency, and prevention of bone loss and reduction of fracture risk.

◼️ The risks and benefits of hormone therapy need to be individualized and discussed with patients in a balanced way, without minimizing risks.
