In honor of February being American Heart Month, Who We Play For is launching the “Mission From the Heart” campaign, inviting individuals, families, and organizations to participate in heart screenings, fundraisers, and spreading awareness to prevent sudden cardiac arrest.

Join us in supporting heart health for the month of February! For every $20 donated, we are able to provide 1 heart screening to a student. For every $6,000 donated, we are able to save a life.

On December 26, 2024, President Biden signed the bipartisan into law. This legislation aims to ensure that students and school staff nationwide are prepared to respond to a cardiac emergency.

Heart Rhythm Advocates (HRA) and Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) supported this legislation and will continue to serve as a member organization in the Smart Heart Sports Coalition.

Do you know what your blood pressure (BP) is? Blood pressure is the tension within your body’s blood vessels (arteries). If your BP is too high, artery damage will occur over time, and you may become at risk for a stroke, heart attack, or kidney failure. Know your BP goal.
You want your top number to be less than 130
bottom number to be less than 80

Don’t have a BP machine? These are readily available and simple to use.
