I have been in business now for 15+ years. I have been at the same location in Villa Park now for 10 years. I specialize in athletes of all ages and ability levels, children from birth on and women. I am a trained Chiropractic Sports Physician and have helped many athletes at all stages of their careers continue their success in performance. I am Webster Technique Certified for pregnant women. This technique helps with breech pregnancies and also helps keep the body in the best biomechanical shape for delivery. I have treated patients from birth in the hospital all the way up to those in their 90’s. I focus on treating muscles and the skeletal systems together. When joints are restricted it is important to fix all the surrounding muscles as well. In my office, I do physical therapy modalities, acupuncture, massage, custom foot orthotics and some sports rehab when needed.
A little about me...... why I became a Chiropractor........ I played sports from the age of 3 through college at various levels. From ballet and gymnastics at the younger years to volleyball and basketball in grades 5-8, to volleyball, basketball and track & field in all 4 years of high school. I was on competitive teams from 5th through 12th. I was even recruited to play D3 basketball while at Augustana College (but chose my double major of premed and biology to be done in 4 yrs instead). I completed my double majors and got early acceptance to National University of Health Sciences where I earned another Bachelors Degree in Human Biology and my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. I opened up Breitenstein Family Chiropractic straight out of school and have grown my business successfully ever since. I chose Chiropractic over medicine because I wanted to treat injuries a more natural way. I wanted to help athletes prevent injuries by keeping them strong with proper body mechanics and fully functioning muscles, spines and nervous systems. I wanted to show young children they can still play sports and work through injuries with the proper care to keep their bodies strong and healthy. I am proud to say I am still doing that 15 years later. I am proud to say I am now doing that with my own 2 boys and many of their teammates and friends.
Please, if you have any questions, never hesitate to send me a message, an email or even a phone call. I have a great passion for helping others. I have a great passion for treating ALL my patients just like my own family.
