For this week’s , we are proud to highlight Main Street Lofts, completed in August 2023.

This 4-story development offers 24 units of affordable permanent supportive housing for individuals with disabilities, people experiencing homelessness, veterans in need of ongoing support, and those receiving services through Association for Individual Development (AID).

Main Street Lofts reflects North Arrow Partners’ commitment to creating housing that is not only affordable, but intentional, accessible, and rooted in long-term community impact.

We’re proud to have partnered with AID, Illinois Housing Development Authority , Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce and Cupa Pizarras on this project.

🚧 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE 🛠️
Progress is underway at Hunter’s Run in Coal City, IL. This development will feature 44 senior units across 11 fully accessible buildings, designed to provide safe, comfortable, and sustainable housing for residents.

Our goal is to create a place that not only meets housing needs but fosters a lasting, vibrant community for seniors to call home.

The historic Jefferson School is getting a new life as Jefferson School Lofts! 🏫✨
With 42 affordable housing units for residents 55+, this project preserves the building’s historic character while introducing modern, comfortable living spaces.
Through collaboration with our partners, including Iowa Finance Authority , and with critical input from the City of Oskaloosa, we’re helping meet a real community need and provide seniors with housing that makes a difference.

Transformation Tuesday: Newton Senior Living — Newton, IL

These before-and-after images highlight the transformation of Newton Senior Living, completed in March 2022.

This development brought new senior housing options for independent adults 55+ in Jasper County. We were grateful to have partnered with Oak Grove Development and funded by the Illinois Housing Development Authority for this development.

We are proud to create housing that supports people and communities for the long term.

Developed, designed, and built by North Arrow Partners, the Stella townhomes offers affordable multi-family housing in Grinnell, Iowa. This development features 34 units, Energy Star Certified amenities, 2 picnic playground areas, neutral finishes, and is located near a high school. These features were chosen with care to offer beautiful and affordable housing for different-sized Grinnell families 🏡👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Talk about a fun time! This past Tuesday, our team celebrated National Ugly Sweater Day. We enjoyed hot cocoa and exchanging delicious cookies while showing off our ugliest (and most festive) sweaters ☕🍪

Willis Senior Lofts has been open for four months, and the development is already reflecting our commitment to thoughtful, sustainable design. The fitness center, community spaces, and energy-efficient construction support our mission to provide equitable and environmentally responsible housing for older adults.
With Enterprise Green and Net-Zero certifications, the property highlights the long-term value of sustainable, affordable senior housing in Rochelle.
Willis Senior Lofts is the first senior-focused affordable housing development in Rochelle, and we hope it will not be the last.

Such a special day! On October 30, we cut the ribbon on Flax Meadow Townhomes II—a new 32-unit affordable housing community in Highland, IL. 🏡💛
Phase 2 includes:
- 7 accessible single-story units
- 25 two-story family units
- A mix of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom homes
- Modern interiors, full appliance packages & community-focused amenities
We’re proud to open doors to quality housing and help build stronger, vibrant communities. A huge thank you to Aetna Better Health of Illinois - Medicaid, Turnstone Development Corporation, , and WNC — we couldn’t do it without our amazing partners and community!

Welcome to the Team: Shiv Amin! ✨
Shiv joins North Arrow Partners as a Development Analyst, bringing strong expertise in real estate finance and a passion for creating thoughtful, sustainable housing.
He specializes in 4% LIHTC, bond financing, HUD 221(d)(4) ex*****on, and managing closing processes for active 9% and PSH projects. Shiv also conducts market research — including regions like Michigan — to identify investment opportunities that help North Arrow continue delivering meaningful community impact.
We’re thrilled to welcome Shiv to the team and look forward to the contributions he’ll bring in shaping the future of development! 🎉
Fun Fact:
When he’s not analyzing markets or structuring financing, Shiv loves staying active — he plays basketball, football, golf, pickleball, volleyball, and even swims at a high level!
