It is the joy of my life to see a person come out of pain. Whether that be physical or emotional.

Our Points to Wellness patient had moved out of the area and hadnt been back in since before covid. She was soo excited to have ALL OF HER MUSCLE AND NERVE PAIN RELIEVED on her first visit back that I had to ask if she wouldn't mind sharing her testimony.

Frequently when the weather gets warmer, I hear patients complain of bloating, fatigue, digestive upset in addition to their chief complaint. I ask what their diet is like and they proceed to tell me how healthy they eat. Frozen smoothies for breakfast, cold salad for lunch with some cold chicken and dinner have salad with cold fruit for dessert. When I recommend to go down to room temp foods, avoid raw veggies opting for steamed I get a surprised look.

I don't blame them. That's what I did when I was told by a mentor in Chinese medicine, if you are going to have cold foods, do it in the winter.

If you suffer or know someone that is plaqued with summer colds, bloating, fatigue and digestive upset. The below article may be an interesting read.

Year of Transformation - 21 day challenge
Who and what you believe in is up to you, but we know that faith is rooted in gratitude, humility, and an understanding of your greater purpose in the world.

It's easy to get caught up in our thoughts. We overanalyze, overthink, and overgeneralize. The patterns in our lives make it easy to get lost in our own minds. We wake up thinking, and we have a hard time falling asleep because our minds are running. Our thoughts can turn to worry, but guess what? It takes the same amount of energy to pray or meditate as it does to think. So today's is to meditate or pray about something as often as you think about it.

Pray and ponder your worries, your stresses, your fears, your questions, your blessings, and your loved ones. Start by simply beginning and ending your day with a prayer or brief meditation session. If you really want to challenge yourself, use the topics of your thoughts as a cue that you should productively ponder those things throughout the day.

Full disclosure: I got behind a couple of days in my year of Transformation Oola 21 day challenge. So today I am going to cover Field which I was working on over the last couple days in a space makeover and Faith. This year is all about balance, growth and peace of mind.

Today’s is all about Field, and it has me thinking about one way I can give it my all at work this next week. As a small business owner, I catch myself feeling like a circus performer trying to juggle multiple roles… which can lead to my emails being left un-answered. Email is my biggest time waster, trying to sift between relevant, irreverent and save for later. But not anymore! My new goal is to respond to all emails within 24hrs of them being sent.

So for my friends out there who have better track records of responding to emails… Help!! What are your secrets?

Year of Transformation - Day 3: Family

Today my challenge is to refocus my focus. Sometimes, I feel I spend way too much time battling the email monster. Seriously! Do you know anyone who has a clean inbox? If so, they are immensely blessed. Today this evening, zero screen time, phone calls (unless an emergency). Back to cooking a dinner together, going out for a summer evening walk to digest and enjoy the good weather.

Our children are grown and have long been on there own. It is just me, my husband Matt and our 2 four footed children.

Earlier this year we made a commitment to have focused time together where the time block is etched in stone. No screen or phone time. Just us. If you aren’t working on your marriage, you are working on your divorce. Just getting real here.

What could be that one thing that you can give up or implement to bring more focused, present time with your family? Share your pics and comment below

Oola Year of Transformation.

I am choosing to Sacrifice something small today for something bigger tomorrow. Illinois tolls can really add up. I am choosing to leave earlier save a few dollars. Over a months time. That is an extra $90 that can go to pay down debt or invest.
