This Mercy Monday, weโre proud to spotlight our Emergency Department Director, Brady Wanersdorfer, who brings over 20 years of dedicated service to our community.
Brady began his career in 2004 in the fire service as a Firefighter/EMR. He became a Paramedic in 2007 and went on to serve as a ground medic, critical care paramedic, and flight paramedic. In 2015, he returned to school at LSUA to pursue nursing. After a short time in the ICU, he followed his true passion for emergency care and has proudly served in the ER since 2019. In 2022, he joined Mercy as our Emergency Department Director.
He is a Board-Certified Emergency Nurse and holds numerous certifications in firefighting, hazardous materials, and incident management. He has also completed the Texas A&M Community Disaster Preparedness for Healthcare program.
A firefighter since 2004, Brady has spent the majority of his career serving the Mansura community, where he currently serves as Captain. Born, raised, and still living in Mansura with his wife, two children, two cats, and two dogs, he is deeply committed to the community he proudly serves.
Outside of work, he enjoys baseball, LSU football, hunting, and fishing.
We are incredibly grateful for his leadership, experience, and heart for emergency care. Thank you, Brady, for all you do for Mercy and our community! ๐
