Mercy Regional Medical Center Ville Platte MRMC is a 49-bed hospital that serves as the primary health resource for Evangeline Parish. MRMC is one of the area's largest employers with over 300 employees.

Mercy Regional Medical Center (MRMC) is a 48-bed acute care hospital in Ville Platte, LA. We serve approximately 40,000+ patients annually with a medical staff of 20 + physicians. Our mission is "Making Communities Healthier." We are fully accredited by The Joint Commission, our facility provides a comprehensive array of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services including surgery, imaging, cardiology, physical therapy and rehab services. Welcome to the Mercy family, Mrs. Nikita Catoire, FNP-C! We’re excited to share that she is joining Evangeline Pediatrics at Mercy Rural Health Clinic!

Nikita is a native of Ville Platte, LA for majority of her life and now resides in Pine Prairie, LA. She has been married to Rocky Catoire for the past 15 years and share two children together (Ava-15 and Dalton-10). She graduated from LSUA in 2008 and worked 8 years in the ICU. During that time she went back to further her education where she attained Master's degree in Nursing from University of South Alabama. She has serviced the Ville Platte community since graduating in 2017, working internal medicine for 3 years and urgent care for 5 years where she has seen children of all ages.

Nikita has decided to expand her knowledge in pediatrics and cannot wait to serve your child for all pediatrics needs. The office accepts all medical insurances and walk-ins are welcome!

Celebrating 32 Years – Nicole Buller, Imaging Director 🎉

Here’s what Nicole shared about her journey:

“I applied for the lead Mammography tech position at Ville Platte Medical Center 32 years ago in order to move home and start a family. I was just out of school but knew that I had something to contribute to our local hospital. I trained at Lafayette General Medical Center and felt prepared to start making a difference here. Over the years, I have made life-long friends as well as being able to care for my own family at times.

MRMC has a very special healthcare team here who work hard to care for those in our community, and I feel fortunate to know each of them on both a personal and professional level.

If I could leave you with two things, it is to continue educating yourself by learning as much as you can about your profession in order to become the most valuable employee for your company and to grow in your compassion for others.”

We’re excited to welcome Gabrielle Flores as our new Director of Marketing!

Gabrielle is originally from Eunice, Louisiana, where she attended St. Edmund Catholic School, Eunice, La from Pre-K through 12th grade—Go Bluejays! She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with a minor in Psychology from Loyola University New Orleans, Class of 2021. Geaux Wolfpack!

Before joining our team, Gabrielle gained valuable experience in marketing and media. Managing social media accounts at Loyola, directing and producing for a public station in New Orleans, managing accounts for a FOX affiliate, and creating video content for a non-profit organization. Each of these experiences has shaped the skills and creativity she brings to her new role here.

Gabrielle now calls Ville Platte home, where she lives with her fiancé. They’ll be tying the knot this May!
