Here’s another reminder that is sick season, so the clinics are flooded with stomach bug, flu, and everything above. So if your baby is sick or under the weather please keep them home ! I know it’s hard I’ve had babies, but it’s not worth getting everyone else’s children sick 🤒. With all the holidays and festivities coming up please understand when moms keep their babies to themselves , please know we are all trying to keep our children safe and not sick 🤒

Attention Medicaid Members:

The UnitedHealthcare health plan will not be available to Medicaid members in 2026.

If you are a current UnitedHealthcare member, you don’t need to take any action.

You can still use your ID card until the end of the year and you will automatically move to a new health plan by January 1, 2026.

You will receive updated coverage information before January 1.

After consulting with several other offices in Ville Platte, we are all experiencing the same issue. We know some of you may have recently received bills from us and may be wondering why.

Please note that there is a big difference between an insurance company saying a claim is paid and us actually receiving payment. Until funds are received, the balance remains outstanding.

Local Medical Facility has not paid any of our claims since June 2025. Because of this, outstanding balances are being sent directly to patients. Rest assured, we are not charging anything extra—these balances are simply claims that Local Medical Facility has not actually paid. The insurance company cant send actual payment until funds are available to cover those payments.

We encourage you to contact your HR department with any questions regarding unpaid claims. We’re also here if you need help understanding your statement.

As we dive into warmer weather, make sure your kids are in the SAFEST swimwear! 🌴

Did you know bright colors like neon yellow, orange, and pink can be a LIFESAVER?

They stand out in the water, making it easier to spot your little ones in case of an emergency! 🌊

On the other hand, darker colors like blue, beige, brown, & green can make swimmers harder to see, especially in deep or murky water. 🌊

So, choose high-visibility colors, especially for kiddos and weaker swimmers! It's a simple choice that can make a BIG difference!
