We are expecting a snow storm in our area. Please use caution if you must travel, allow extra time to reach your destination, and check on elderly neighbors or those who may need assistance.

Your safety is our priority. In the event of an emergency, please call 911 immediately. Please stay safe and warm!

HEART ATTACK SNOW EXPECTED WITH UPCOMING STORM

The snow headed our way will NOT be the light, fluffy type.

Forecasters are calling for very low snow ratios β€” approximately 8:1 to 10:1, meaning this snow will be extremely dense, wet, and compact.

In simple terms:
This is what many meteorologists refer to as β€œheart attack snow.”

⚠️ Why this matters:
Even snowfall totals around 6–10 inches will be VERY heavy and difficult to shovel. One shovel full could weigh 2–3 times more than typical powder snow.

❀️ Important Safety Reminder:
If you have:
β€’ Heart disease
β€’ High blood pressure
β€’ Cardiovascular issues
β€’ Breathing problems
β€’ Or limited mobility

DO NOT shovel this snow yourself.
Consider hiring someone, asking a neighbor, or arranging snow removal ahead of time.

Every year, hospitals see an increase in cardiac emergencies during heavy snow events due to overexertion while shoveling.

βœ… Take frequent breaks
βœ… Push snow instead of lifting when possible
βœ… Stay hydrated
βœ… Stop immediately if you feel chest pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath

Stay safe, check on elderly neighbors, and plan ahead before the snow begins.
