Join us next Tuesday for a Zoom presentation-December 9, 2025, at 1pm EST, 10am PT, and 7pm GMT

Our guest speaker will be Melissa Grosboll, DC, Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist

We will discuss the benefits of (even just a little!) exercise for survivors and how difficult it can be to get going again. Melissa knows. She's been there.

Melissa Grosboll is a multi-passionate entrepreneur with many career changes in her life. She spent 20 years as a chiropractor, got burned out, retired, and opened an edible cookie dough dessert shop. In 2022, after 5 years, the last filled with
several traumas, she closed her business. A few months later, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2023.

Through her healing process, she rediscovered her passion for health and wellness and began a new career as a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Exercise Specialist, helping others regain their health and strength following a cancer diagnosis. She is also the host of The Many Faces of Cancer Podcast, sharing stories of hope and inspiration from others on their own cancer journey. She lives in Colorado with her husband of 32 years and has a 27-year-old daughter, currently studying to become an engineer.

Giving Tuesday is almost here, and many people want to know exactly where their donation goes.

Hodgkin’s International is the leading global resource for long-term Hodgkin Lymphoma survivorship, and every dollar goes directly toward survivor-focused programs.

Your Giving Tuesday gift will support:

• A national Public Service Announcement to reach survivors who do not know their long-term risks
• Our 2026 International Survivorship Conference with the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center
• Translation of our website into multiple languages
• A global Google Ads campaign to reach survivors who are unaware they need long-term screenings and follow-up care

Your support strengthens programs that save lives, improve access to knowledgeable care, and reach more survivors who need this information.

Giving Tuesday is December 2. We hope you’ll join us.

Cancer is hard enough. No one should die from the cure.

"I never wanted cancer to define me. For more than 40 years, I’ve openly shared my health challenges – Hodgkin’s Disease in 1981, infertility and infant loss in the 1990s, and breast cancer in 2018. But I’ve never wanted the darkness of illness to overshadow the light of the extraordinary gift of life I’ve been given. Even in the hardest days, hope prevailed – and still does."

Ann Lovell shared her story with us, including her initial diagnosis and late effects, one of which was another cancer diagnosis. Thank you, Ann, for trusting us to share your experience. You can read her full story on our website here: https://www.hodgkinsinternational.com/voice/ann-lovell/

Here is a GREAT site for cancer survivors, developed by Larissa Nekhlyudov and colleagues- "Cancer Survivorship in Primary Care." Make sure you check out the resources listed at the bottom, especially the Lancet journal series. Fantastic.

A one-stop repository where primary care providers can access medical information and clinical guidance

How great is this?! This is a photo of two of our Board members, Larissa Nekhlyudov and Mark Haseloff, who just got together for the first time in Australia! Larissa is there for a research study, and Mark hails from Adelaide. We are so lucky to have them both. This meeting gives new meaning to the word "international!"

"Scanxiety," or the fear that accompanies follow-up testing for cancer survivors, is a common and understandable consequence of what we've all been through. In this article, nurses at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC offer some of their "tried and true" methods for coping with this. While the focus in this article is largely on breast cancer, the phenomenon of scanxiety does not belong to a single cancer diagnosis. It affects us all.

In response to the intense fear that so many people experience around imaging tests, MSK radiology nurses developed new recommendations that are helping patients everywhere.
