Hello Riding with Hope supporters:
My name is Kendra Phillips, and I am absolutely thrilled to introduce myself as the new Equine Program Coordinator. As a certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning through PATH International, I am deeply honored to take on this role and make a profound difference in the lives of others. My objective is to provide a unique and enjoyable learning experience, harnessing the incredible benefits of horse interaction, to a segment of our community that often faces exclusion and deserves our utmost support.
Throughout my journey, I have been privileged to assume multiple roles, including instructor, barn manager, volunteer coordinator, and at-risk program instructor, at a center in North Carolina. Notably, I have had the joy of teaching advanced riding techniques, including trotting and cantering, to students and witnessing their tremendous growth. My diverse experience has equipped me with a unique skill set, and I am eager to apply it in this new capacity and create lasting impact.
When Home of Hope announced the opening for this position, I felt an overwhelming sense of purpose and knew I had to apply. Following the arrival of my daughter and relocation to a new state, I am now poised to embark on this exciting new challenge and contribute my skills and experience to the betterment of our community. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has taken the time to read my post, and I look forward to meeting you all soon and sharing in the joy and fulfillment that this journey will bring. Rest assured that great things are on the horizon, and for now, Shotgun and Jerry are making an excellent first impression.
