If you stop by this holiday weekend, you’ll see our Missing Man Table displayed at both the nursing facility and assisted living.

The Missing Man Table is a powerful symbol of remembrance and honors our fallen, missing, and imprisoned service members. Each item on the table carries special meaning — reminding us of the sacrifices made by those who served and those who never made it home.

This Memorial Day weekend, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸

Fresh flowers, smiling faces, and a fun afternoon together! We loved making beautiful floral bouquets with Deb Kacena this month. April showers definitely paid off with these May flowers! 💐

That’s a wrap on National Skilled Nursing Care Week 2026! 🌷
We couldn’t have asked for a better final day — a picnic at Celebration Park with gorgeous weather followed by an afternoon of karaoke with residents and staff singing songs we all know and love!

To finish the week, staff dressed up for “Petals of the Past” day in outfits inspired by their favorite decades, and it made for such a fun ending to an incredible week!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special. We had the BEST time celebrating together! 💙

Day four is officially in the books! 🌻
We started the day with an amazing performance by the Vinton-Shellsburg High School Percussion Band — what a talented group! The beautiful weather made for the perfect afternoon to plant flowers in the pots we decorated yesterday, and we wrapped up the night with a resident favorite… Family Bingo Night!
Staff also joined in on the fun by dressing in their best garden and farming attire for “Harvesting Happiness” day!

🌸 Day three of celebrating “Moments in Bloom” was full of smiles, creativity, and fun! We started the day with a special visit from Joy the Comfort Dog — and you can always count on Joy to brighten everyone’s day around the facility!

In the afternoon, residents and staff got creative decorating flower pots with handprints, and we absolutely love how they turned out! A special thank you to Gus with Hospice Compassus for the ice cream treats during our activity!

Staff also joined in the fun by dressing in their best rain gear and blue/gray colors for our “April Showers Bring May Flowers” day!

Rain or shine, day two was blooming with fun! 🌼
Residents enjoyed a wonderful breakfast outing at the Vinton Family Restaurant this morning filled with delicious food and lots of laughs around the table.

We ended the day singing and dancing along with Harold Gray! Even though the weather changed our garden party plans, the fun kept right on going indoors. 🎶

Staff also participated in “Bloom in Pairs” day with matching outfits as twins and triplets!

🌼 National Skilled Nursing Care Week is officially underway! 🌼

This year’s theme is “Moments in Bloom,” and we kicked off the week by creating beautiful flower arrangements together! It was so much fun seeing everyone’s creativity shine and watching each arrangement bloom into something unique.

Staff also joined the fun for “Wildflower Day” by wearing their best mix & matched outfits!

We have a week full of fun planned — stay tuned to follow along with all of the special moments ahead!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible mothers out there! 💐
We were blessed to be able to celebrate the mothers in our community at our Mother/Daughter Tea. It was such a beautiful afternoon filled with love, laughter, delicious food, and wonderful music thanks to Shannon Janssen. We are so grateful for the special memories made together! ❤️
