Hey all !! 👋🏻 😃
It’s been a little while!

I have been BUSY ::
🤕 Healing a broken foot (all clear! 💪🏼)
✈️ Took a vacation to visit family
🧑🏻‍🍼And loving on some sweet babies in the middle of the night!

Things are shifting here at Anchored Mama, though! ✨✨✨

I will be going on maternity leave October 1st to rest and prepare for another little pumpkin being added to my own patch! 🎃 🤰🏻 🙌🏻

Being a military family, we also have some transitions coming up, so the next year will look a lot different than the last few years 🇺🇸

I plan to fill my free time (😆😆) finishing up my NCS and am excited to see what the next chapter looks like. I will be in prayer about future clients and the next steps, so as always, I’m remaining the Anchored Mama. 💜

I DO plan to offer overnight care in 2026, but it will be more sporadic and relaxed. Still, reach out (text is best 📱 ) If my schedule is full, I have made several new colleagues I can recommend you to!

I have a 5 week window in May, that I’m really hoping to fill before I go out of town!  This would be for a short contract, solely overnight care. (Ideal for parents who know they just need a little guaranteed sleep the first couple weeks 😴)

💝 Any size postpartum package is a great gift for expectant parents. Whether they are first-time parents and would benefit from some extra hands-on guidance in newborn life, or if this is not their first rodeo and they have older children- a postpartum doula can help.

EXAMPLES OF CARE: laundry, washing and sterilizing bottles and pump parts, dishes, cuddling or tending to baby while mom takes a nap or has some 1 on 1 time with an older sibling (or dad!), and emotional support. 🙏🏻

💝 Some families select only a small amount of hours to get them through the first couple of weeks, other families choose a more intensive package where I’m there several times a week for up to a few months— it’s customizable, whatever is going to make your life a little better 💓

I love those people who say:
"I'm going to wash my hands so I can hold your baby"
"I won't take it because I come from the street and I'm dirty"
"I don't kiss him because he's little"
"I won't grab his little hands because he puts them in his mouth"
I appreciate you thinking like that because it's very difficult for us parents to tell them, because many take it the wrong way and say they're exaggerating, but believe that when it comes to taking care of your little one nothing is an exaggeration 👶 🥰 ❤️

My family and I had a great time away in the mountains this month! My MIL visited and took us on an adventure : a cabin, snow & sledding, good food and good company. Just really COZY.

I am back to work this week and looking into 2025 with confidence and excitement for what is to come!

March is completely available for OVERNIGHT AUXILIARY only. So if you know someone that’s due in February or early March, please pass my name along, hopefully I can love on them after their baby arrives!

My primary form of ‘self care’ or my hobby, is reading. This year I read 35 books- the most I have read since grad school 😂

I’m not a boss babe.
I’m a mother.

I’m not a small business owner, I am a woman trying to do what she loves.

I’m not obligated to work certain hours, I’m honored to be there in the times you really need backup.

On overnights, I’m not just on Baby Duty, I have baby’s safety and the parents peace in my hands.

I’m not catching you up on laundry, I’m lightening your load.

I’m not just sitting with you chatting, I’m seeing YOU…beyond the leggings and tucks pads and the weary eyes.

I’m not only the hired care, I’m the Doula.

Please know, you are not a contract to me; as much relief as you get from me being there, I get just as much joy from helping you! 💜💜💜

You’ve probably heard of ‘Call the Midwife’, but allow me to remind you- when prepping for baby, CALL THE POSTPARTUM DOULA 💜

I start helping with baby once they are home, but if you would like help with nesting, meal prep, and JUST 👏🏻 RESTING right before it’s go time, I’d love to help you out 🤰🏻

(Also does anyone else make lists like this for everything so they don’t forget all the things? Just me? 🫠)
