đ Marriage Heals When Someone Kneels
Forgiveness is one of the most powerful forces in a marriage.
This morning, Dr. Cyrus Williams reminds us that healing in marriage often begins with humility, forgiveness, and leadership through love.
In John 13:14â15, Jesus teaches a powerful lesson about humility and forgiveness when He washed the feet of His disciples:
"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one anotherâs feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you."
Marriage moves forward when couples learn to forgive â sometimes daily, sometimes repeatedly.
At Rapha Counseling Services, Dr. Williams works with couples through Marriage Intensive Counseling, where partners can address deep wounds, rebuild trust, and recommit to one another. One powerful exercise sometimes used is a symbolic foot-washing ceremony, representing humility, forgiveness, and renewed commitment.
đĄ Remember:
Healthy leadership in marriage begins with forgiveness.
If you want your marriage to grow stronger, start by choosing forgiveness â even when itâs hard.
