We can thank the Cheyenne Tribe for giving the all-Black Army regiment established by Congress after the Civil War, the Buffalo Soldiers, their special moniker. These soldiers helped expand the frontier into the West, protected settlers and fought in combat—all while facing discrimination and adversity. On , we unearth their story and honor these men.
