I’m noticing a huge increase in people’s stress over others’ response to the pandemic. 😬🥺 We’re experiencing pervasive global unrest. In addition to personal decisions about guidelines, earnest questions about social situations arise: “do I or don’t I say something?” Aftershock from an unintended heated exchange with a stranger in a store or restaurant is becoming a common topic in my sessions. We’re understandably baffled about how to address our concerns without ending up in a full blown altercation. What follows are some sensible tips which may help you make decisions about how to handle uncomfortable situations you might encounter.

Let’s hope this vaccine works! While I’m eager to get back to meeting face-to-face, masks do not mix well with psychotherapy. I am working on safety protocols for us - like hepa air filters, sanitizing cleansers, easy clean seating options, fresh sheets over any surfaces that cannot be scrubbed, and clear masks. For now, still telehealth. Your health and wellness are my top priority - body, mind and soul.

Last day at Virginia Behavioral Medicine. Tomorrow a new chapter starts with Dayspring Wellness opening! It's been a great experience working with so many terrific people at Virginia Behavioral Medicine these last 6 years. Will miss my colleagues and the camaraderie we share. So grateful for my time and experiences there... and for the patients who have shared so much. Smiling a little as I look forward to what's ahead. Eager to launch Dayspring. Tomorrow afternoon Dayspring's logo should be ready and I expect the website to be partially up and running. It's been a whirlwind during the pandemic!
