The Virginia Counselors Association conference has been a great time of learning, collaborating, networking, and fellowshipping. It was awesome to be able support a dear colleague Dr JaNae Taylor being honored for the wonderful work she has and continues to do. Also great learning from and supporting Danielle L McDowell and other peers during their training sessions. Even won several prizes!

What is Movember? It is a month-long event in November to raise awareness and funds for men's health, particularly prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and su***de prevention.

Men lets get to Talking about your health, Caring about your health and MOVING to take action on your health and wellness!

Some facts:
1. One man dies by su***de every minute of every day, with males accounting for 69% of all su***des.
2. Men are dying on average 4.5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons.
3. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men over 45. Early detection is KEY!
4. Testicular cancer is the most common type of cancer in young men. It is also highly curable when it’s found and treated early.
