He is certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment, Manual Therapy, and Dry Needling, enabling a holistic and evidence-based approach to rehabilitation.

Why we are here

We opened this location in the Oceanfront area of Virginia Beach in the spring of 2019 because we felt we needed to bring a new style of Physical Therapy to the area. A style of physical therapy that has earned us top awards in Northern Virginia since 2006! The owner, Dr. Lisa Allen, PT moved to Virginia Beach in 2015 and after listening to people’s stories of their experience of physical therapy here, decided that she needed to help these people by providing a better type of physical therapy. At BioMechanic we do not just give “packaged exercise plans” -- we focus on the entire physical condition and mechanics of the patient and use our hands. Yes, we actually touch our patients to restore proper joint kinematics (small and large motions needed for normal movement) and work on soft tissue by using massage. In addition to using both ancient and modern technology. We schedule one person per hour with a specific physical therapist so you see an actual licensed physical therapist every visit. Our Doctors of PT work with you themselves -- they don’t supervise 5 helpers and 5 patients all at once! That isn’t the way it is supposed to be! And that is why we get better results. One of the hardest things is to get people to believe that we really are different and we really can help you. So many people have tried so many places and so many things that they stop believing they can be helped. Well, try one more.
