Eliza Hope Foundation

Eliza Hope Foundation The Eliza Hope Foundation's mission is to provide educational support for children and families who are living with Autism and other developmental delays.

The mission of the Eliza Hope Foundation is to provide educational support for children and families who are living with Autism Spectrum disorders in the Hampton Roads area. We intend to carry out this mission by establishing a preschool completely dedicated to providing the special services, teachers and equipment necessary to meet the unique learning needs of these children. Eliza’s Story
Eliza was a sweet, joyful and loving little girl. She loved popcorn and pinecones. She loved watching Frozen, Bubble Guppies and Mickey Mouse and she would listen to the song “Happy” all day long if she could. When Eliza was 16 months old she had her first seizure and after months of doctors’ appointments and neurology tests, she was diagnosed with intractable Epilepsy and Autism Spectrum Disorder at 2 years old. We soon learned that finding a place where Eliza could learn and grow would be an overwhelming task. Out of dozens of local preschools, the majority could not accommodate Eliza’s needs. After months of searching and hours of frustration, we were finally fortunate enough to find two schools that Eliza was able to attend and worked for our family. We want to honor Eliza’s life by helping families who have similar struggles. The best part of the day was watching Eliza wearing her backpack, happily walking to class alongside her teacher. Every child deserves that chance and every parent should be able to experience that moment. This is the wish we hope to fulfill through the Eliza Hope Foundation.

This is Aaron and Aimee.🥰
Two parents standing in the middle of unimaginable grief after losing their daughter, Eliza. 👼🏻🤍
They could have let the heartbreak close in. 💔
No one would have blamed them.
But instead, they chose to build something bigger than their pain. ✨
They remembered the endless appointments. 🚗
The long drives. ⏳
The feeling of being overwhelmed, exhausted, and alone while trying to do everything right for their child. 😔

So they asked a question that would change everything:
What if no family had to do this alone? 🤍
That question became the Eliza Hope Foundation. 🌈

A place where children receive the support they need. 🧩
A place where families are seen, understood, and held up. Especially on the hard days. 🤗
This photo was taken in 2017, at the very beginning. 📸
No roadmap. No guarantees. Just love, courage, and a promise to honor Eliza by helping others like her. ✨👼🏻

Here’s the truth that’s hard to sit with:
Most families don’t need more strength. They need SUPPORT. 💛
And without it, too many fall through the cracks.
That is what EHF strives to provide. 🌟

Every moment of joy you see here is possible because someone chose to give.🥰

At The Eliza Hope Foundation, your donations don’t sit on a shelf (or an account) they turn into real experiences, real confidence, and real support for children and families in Hampton Roads navigating autism, all year long.

From our ever-popular Hope Stars programs, to life-saving Swim Stars, to the pure magic of a Sensory Santa visit, your generosity creates safe spaces where kids can grow, families feel seen, and milestones are celebrated. BIG and small. ✨

Here’s the truth: these moments don’t happen without community support.
And for many families, they’re not “extras”, they’re lifelines.
As we close out the year, your end-of-year donation helps ensure these programs continue in 2026, reaching more children, shortening waitlists, and giving families hope when they need it most.

If you’ve ever smiled at a Hope Stars photo, teared up at a Swim Stars milestone, or felt the magic of Sensory Santa… this is your moment to give that feeling back. 💫

As we begin to close out 2025, our hearts are so full 🤍✨
This year reminded us what’s possible when compassion, collaboration, and community come together 🤝💫

Because of you, 794 children received essential therapy and support 💛🧩
Families found a safe place to land 🏡
Small victories were celebrated 🎉
Big milestones were reached 🌈
And hope showed up, again and again ⭐

From expanding our therapy center 🏥 to opening our coffee shop ☕ and creating meaningful work opportunities for young adults with autism 💼💙, 2025 was truly transformative. None of this happens without the generosity of people who believe in this mission 🙏

✨ As the year comes to an end, we invite you to make an end-of-year donation 🎁 to The Eliza Hope Foundation. Your gift helps us continue supporting families 🤍, shortening waitlists ⏳, and building brighter futures 🌟 for the children who need us most.

If this mission has touched your heart 💖, please consider giving before the year ends 🕊️
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference 💫

Thank you for believing in hope 🌤️
Thank you for showing up 🤍

Today is one of those bittersweet days filled with so much love and gratitude. 💙

As wraps up her final day with the Eliza Hope Foundation, we want to pause and honor what her heart, leadership, and unwavering dedication have meant to this mission. Quite simply, we would not be where we are today without her. The growth, the reach, the impact, the lives touched at the pace they were… none of it would have been possible without the foundation she helped build and the incredible support she helped inspire.

Over the past five years, Kiley poured her whole heart into creating and growing our development and fundraising strategy from the ground up. Working alongside the most compassionate volunteers, donors, corporate partners, and local foundations to help transform a grassroots vision into an essential community resource. Through her leadership, more than $2.1 million was raised. Investments that now support a therapeutic home serving over 700 families seeking care, services, and hope for their neurodivergent children.

But beyond the numbers, Kiley leaves behind something even greater, deeper understanding, fierce advocacy, meaningful relationships, and a legacy of compassion. She has witnessed and honored. The strength, resilience, and love of autistic and neurodivergent individuals, their families, therapists, fathers, siblings, and especially the mothers whose infinite love fuels this work every day.

What began with one mom’s love for her daughter now changes countless lives, and Kiley has been a powerful part of that story. Kiley, thank you for your heart, your vision, your commitment, and your belief in what was possible. You will always be a part of the Eliza Hope family. 💙

We love you, we are endlessly grateful for you, and we can’t wait to see the impact you continue to make in the world. But for now… we’re cheering her on as she welcomes her second baby and takes this time to relax, soak in every moment, and enjoy being a stay-at-home mom.
