In observance of The Veterans Day Holiday, the main office of CDS will be closed on Tuesday, November 11. We will reopen promptly at 9:30am on Wednesday, November 12. If you have any questions or emergencies, please reach out to your coordinator or call the main number to speak with the receptionist. Wednesday October 29, 2025 is World Stroke Day! If you are not familiar with the signs and symptoms of a stroke, please look at picture #2.

Remember the Mnemonic FAST

-F stands for Face. Does the persons face appear to be drooping?
-A stands for Arms. Have the person raise both arms and observe if they are having trouble holding them up.
-S stands for speech. Have the person repeat a simple sentence such as “The Sky is blue.” Listen to see if they are slurring their words.
-T stands for time. Every minute counts when a person is having a stroke so act FAST!!!!
