Virginia Beach Medical Reserve Corps In addition, the volunteers work to improve the overall health and well being of Virginia Beach by engaging in public health initiatives throughout the year.

The Virginia Beach Medical Reserve Corps (VBMRC) is a component of the Virginia Beach Citizens Corps Council (VBCCC) and the Virginia Beach Department of Public Health (VBDPH). The VBMRC provides healthcare professionals and others with an organized mechanism through which they can volunteer their time and skills in order to strengthen the City of Virginia Beach by preparing for and responding to large and small scale emergencies, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, hurricanes and other natural disasters, and acts of terrorism.

Yesterday's Back-to-School Immunization Clinic at Princess Anne Middle School was a huge success, with over 30 students receiving vaccines!

VBMRC's very own superstar David Contois led a Stop the Bleed Training for other VBMRC volunteers on Feb. 8th! 👏

The VBMRC has been working hard to establish more training opportunities for volunteers, led by volunteers - all part of our train-the-trainer program we've been working on to help keep the VBMRC ready for emergencies big and small!
