Food prepping today.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 35-40 minutes. I drizzle balsamic glaze after its out of the oven.
Today I substituted chestnuts instead of walnuts....that's a hit and would do again.

The term "sugar-free" might sound appealing, but it’s often misleading. Many sugar-free products are filled with artificial sweeteners and chemicals that can be just as harmful to the body as sugar itself. Instead of being a healthier option, these sugar substitutes can have adverse effects on our health over time, contributing to weight gain, insulin resistance, and even metabolic issues.

Artificial sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose may not raise blood sugar levels, but they can wreak havoc on your gut microbiome. Your body still reacts to these chemicals in ways that disrupt your natural processes, leading to issues like digestive discomfort and cravings for more sweets. Sugar-free might be convenient, but it’s not always the healthiest choice.

True health comes from consuming whole, unprocessed foods that nourish and fuel your body, not from trying to find a quick fix in a packaged product. Make sure to read labels carefully and focus on real, nutritious food rather than relying on empty-calorie alternatives.

Hi everyone 🤍
Strength • Balance • Fall Prevention — that’s the heart of what I’m focused on right now.

I’ve spent years helping people move better, feel better, and stay independent — and I’m expanding what I offer so I can support our community in a bigger way.

What I’m offering now:
• Church & Community Classes (beginner-friendly strength + balance for fall prevention)
• 1:1 Support for mobility, confidence, and healthy routines
• Helping families connect with professional in-home support through Elevate Healthcare Services when extra help is needed at home (after illness, surgery, or mobility changes)

My goal is simple: meet you where you are, support you with dignity, and help you feel stronger and more confident — one step at a time.

👉 Comment “INFO” and I’ll message you with details. 💛

Longevity is a hot buzz word lately. Understanding the things you can do to clean up what you are putting in your body and on your body is your first step.

Send this to someone you’re on your health journey with.

Every meal, every workout, every night’s sleep—it’s all building the future you. What you do now, in your 20s, 30s, and even 50s, shapes the health you’ll experience in the decades to come.

To understand why the choices you make today impact your future health, consider this: chronic disease and mobility loss are rooted in long-term, silent processes. Inflammation, poor diet, stress, and lack of exercise can slowly damage your cells, arteries, and brain, starting decades before symptoms appear.

These conditions are not random—they develop over time based on lifestyle factors. Every healthy choice you make now can slow or even prevent these processes. It’s all connected.

It’s never too late—or too soon—to start living well.

I swear by it, drinking bone broth when I start feeling a cold coming on. I drink it warm, morning noon and night. When I wake up the next day, feeling back to my old self. Bone broth is your grandmothers recipe in chicken noodle soup. It helps build up your immune system. Give it a try!
Make sure you buy organic bone broth, not the stock. 😊

This is one of my favorite things to do in the evening. As the day ends, I find myself with lower back tension. I do this for about 10 mins while relaxing. It sure does relieve the majority of my pain. I wake up the next morning feeling so much better. Give it a try!

Knowledge is power my friends!
I bet there are a couple you didn't know about. Mine are the kiwi and apple core.

🍊 11 Foods You Throw Away That Are Actually Powerful 🍊

1️⃣ Citrus peels contain antioxidants that help combat aging.

2️⃣ Beet greens have more iron than the root and can be used in soups or smoothies.

3️⃣ Mushrooms lose flavor and become rubbery when rinsed under running water; clean them with a damp cloth.

4️⃣ Kiwi skin provides fiber and antioxidants; wash thoroughly and eat whole.

5️⃣ Apple cores hold the highest concentration of soluble fiber.

6️⃣ Cucumber peels are rich in potassium and silica, which support skin health.

7️⃣ Garlic loses its antibiotic properties when boiled; use raw or lightly sautéed.

8️⃣ Carrot skins contain more antioxidants than the inner part; scrub well instead of peeling.

9️⃣ Strawberry leaves offer chlorophyll and vitamin C; add them to smoothies.

🔟 Celery leaves contain more calcium and magnesium than the stalk.

1️⃣1️⃣ Broccoli stems provide fiber and anti-cancer compounds.
