Yoga teaches us that presence matters more than productivity. That we respond to what is, not what we hoped the day would be. That even when things feel disrupted, there is an order working beneath the surface, often invisible, often inconvenient, but very real. And I have to be patient with myself when productivity is not the “order of the day.”
I believe deeply that everything works in our favor.
That we co-create our lives, even the messy parts.
That blessings don’t always arrive wrapped the way we expect.
That community reveals itself most clearly when things wobble.
I can’t wait to see what’s on the other side of this wobble.
So please—don’t feel sorry for us. Truly.
What we need isn’t sympathy - it’s presence.
Come take a class.
Walk through the doors.
Roll out a mat.
Breathe with us. Move with us. Laugh with us.
Love on this space, and on each other, in the way we all know how. Shine has never been about perfection but about connection. And that’s something no flood can touch.
