Salsa dancing isn’t just fun movement—it’s a surprisingly powerful full-brain workout that integrates cognition, emotion, and physiology all at once.

At the neurological level, salsa heavily engages the brain’s coordination and timing centers resulting in better coordination not just in dance, but in everyday movement.

There’s also a strong effect on the part of the brain responsible for decision-making, focus, and social awareness- the prefrontal cortex.
