For 13 years, Felix has volunteered at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, driving the courtesy golf cart and greeting every patient, visitor, and staff member with a warm smile. His heart for service is unmatched, and we celebrated him as WTKR News 3's Everyday Hero!

Sentara’s 3D Mobile Mammography is coming to Princess Anne Library on Thursday, June 12 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Check out these future healthcare pros in action!

Students from Princess Anne High School joined us at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital for the city's annual internship day.

This event—now in its 33rd year— is organized by the Virginia Beach Central Business District Association. It offers students a unique look into health care and other career opportunities. Students were given hands-on tours of the operating room, emergency department, and intensive care unit while learning about the behind-the-scenes systems that power the hospital.

We are always proud and willing to host the next generation of healthcare professionals and support meaningful connections between students and their future careers.

Sentara Health is preparing for Winter Storm Kingston in Hampton Roads, and throughout Virginia and northeast North Carolina. The heaviest snowfall is expected Wednesday night, Feb. 19, through Thursday morning, Feb. 20.

During this time, our hospitals and freestanding emergency departments will continue normal operations around the clock. Sentara Urgent Care will maintain regular office hours. Physician offices, therapy centers, ambulatory surgery centers, and other outpatient facilities are rescheduling patients due to planned closures during the worst of the weather. We appreciate your understanding as we continue our core services and work to ensure the safety of our colleagues and patients.
