"People Over Profit." That's basically our whole business plan.

It's the title of a business book-turned company motto for Anchor ABA. Our Director and Founder, Meghan, was recently asked to speak on a podcast about being an ABA business owner and this concept of always prioritizing your people's needs (employees, clients, and their families) over potential profits was one of the many topics discussed.

It's not rocket science. If you always consider the needs and welfare of the people you serve, and THAT is your "bottom line", you'll never have to worry about the financial bottom line that most companies build their business plan around.

Our business plan is simple - make sure our people are happy.

We're so excited for Surfers Healing, Virginia Beach! As always, our team will be volunteering on the sand at this event - it's our favorite day of the year!

This year, we will also have a resource table to provide families with information about our new parent coaching program! So we look forward to seeing everyone out there!

This will be the 20th year that Virginia Beach has hosted the Surfers Healing Foundation Team. Each year has been a huge success thanks to the sea of support from our many Community Partners, Sponsors and Volunteers. This occasion has been rated by locals and participating families as one of the mos...

On July 1, 2025, the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) implemented the Blue Envelope Program, as authorized under HB2501 and Code of Virginia § 46.2-203.3. This program is designed to improve communication between law enforcement and individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder during traffic stops or vehicle crash investigations.
You can request a Blue Envelope at any Virginia DMV customer service center (CSC). There is no cost, and no documentation is required. Caregivers or guardians may also request one on behalf of someone with autism. Browse our customer service center locations. https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/BlueEnvelope

Every summer, the team at Anchor ABA volunteers our time down on the beach for a weekend of fun, laughter, and memories during Surfers Healing.

Along the way, we've met so many amazing families and made some great friends in the Surfers Healing community, too.

We were thrilled to see Edie and Gavin today and we're looking forward to another chance to give every kid "one perfect day."

We are so excited for this weekend!

Surfers Healing events occur all over the world and our event in Virginia Beach will see over 450 kids experience the healing power of the ocean this weekend.

It's a family-friendly beach day with free lunch and snacks provided to all families registered for the event with lots of resource tables available, too.

If you're looking for us this weekend, you won't find us at a table though... the Anchor ABA team will be down on the sand with the kids, our favorite place to be!

If you happen to see us, please come say hi!

Meet the team!!!

GINNI HOCH
Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Ginni describes her journey into the field of ABA as a happy accident. Originally planning a career as a photographer, she began working with individuals with special needs in college and quickly realized she greatly enjoyed helping people with varying needs and abilities. One of her coworkers recommended her for a job as an ABA technician at a children’s autism center and Ginni immediately fell in love with the field. Seeing how much she could help the children and their families was the most rewarding experience. Ginni continued to work as a Registered Behavior Technician for seven years before she decided to pursue a Masters in Special Education and become a BCBA.

In her free time, Ginni can be found with her husband and two sons at a local coffee shop or the Botanical Gardens. She still enjoys making art in her spare time as well as trying out any local food and dessert places!

Meet the team!!!

KRISTEN LOVERING
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Former Special Education Teacher

From a young age, Kristen always gravitated towards individuals with special needs. She grew up with her autistic older brother, who taught her a lot about compassion, empathy, and an overall appreciation for the simplest joys in life.

Kristen graduated from the University of Virginia (WaHooWa!) with her Master’s degree in Special Education, and began working as a teacher in a regional public school’s autism program. It was there she found her love for behavior analysis, which led her to pursue and earn her BCBA.

Since then, she has worked both in clinical and in-home settings, growing her passion for helping kids and their families.

In her free time, you can find Kristen hanging out with her favorite person, her husband. You may also find her snuggling and/or playing with the dog or kicking a ball around the house with her son. In their down time, they are often playing or watching various sports, including cheering on their beloved UVa basketball team!

Kristen also enjoys refinishing various wood furniture items and participating in various events with her church family.

Meet the team!!!

ERICA EDWARDS
Board Certified Behavior Analyst

From a young age, Erica had always dreamed of a career that provided the opportunity to work with children, teens, and their families through difficult and challenging times.

After bouncing around from social work to criminal justice to juvenile justice and rehabilitation, she discovered the field of ABA and immediately fell in love with the children and families she met.

The greatest joys of her job include building relationships with her clients and their families, seeing a kiddo finally have that light bulb moment after so much hard work and being able to empower individuals and families to thrive as they grow up and into the future, regardless of what life may throw at them!

Originally from Washington, Erica spends much of her free time playing beach volleyball and taking her dog exploring in the beautiful VA Beach sunshine.

Most weekends, she can be found hanging out at one of her favorite local coffee shops or tackling house projects with her newlywed husband as they prepare for their first baby.

Meet the team!!!

MEGAN JOBSKI
Board Certified Behavior Analyst

After 5 years enjoying the west coast, Megan was happy to be back in Virginia! When her younger brother was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2, Megan began observing various therapies he attended and knew right away she wanted to be in a field that provided support to those like her brother.

While pursuing a career in speech therapy at Old Dominion University, Megan began to learn about ABA therapy by observing behavioral therapists during speech sessions. It was then she fell in love with the field and the positive impact ABA can have.

Megan worked as a behavioral therapist and then a BCBA in both the home and clinical settings prior to joining the team at Anchor ABA.

Coming from large Italian family, Megan has a huge passion for cooking. She also loves the outdoors in all capacities, whether it’s lying on the beach, going on a hike, or watching football with friends. She and her husband have one son and are excited to add another boy to the family this spring!

At Anchor ABA, we do this thing where we have babies in threes and they’re all boys. (How does that happen???)

These 7 moms represent 11 boys!!!

Tonight we celebrated the next round of baby boys and since all of these mamas were born in the 90’s, it seemed only fitting to have a 90’s-themed “Boys Club” baby shower.

While we’ll be sad to see these women leave us to spend time with their little ones, we are SO EXCITED for the days ahead and wish them all the snuggles and cuddles and sweet memories in store!
