👩‍⚕️ Beach Eye Care Welcomes Dr. Elleny Gutierrez!

We’re proud to introduce Elleny Gutierrez, MD, a board-certified, fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist, to our physician team at Beach Eye Care. ✨

Her path to Beach Eye Care includes:
🎓 B.A. from Columbia University
👩‍⚕️ M.D. and Ophthalmology Residency at Louisiana State University Health
🔬 Glaucoma Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences

Dr. Gutierrez diagnoses and treats the full spectrum of glaucoma—including normal tension, narrow angle, neovascular, and open-angle glaucoma, as well as glaucoma suspect. She performs advanced procedures ranging from MIGS and laser treatments to complex surgeries such as tube shunts and trabeculectomy. She also offers premium cataract surgery.

She is published in leading journals, including the Journal of Ophthalmic Science and the Journal of Clinical Investigation, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Glaucoma Society (AGS), and the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA). 🏆

🌎 Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Gutierrez brings warmth, precision, and clear communication to every visit. Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking, and spending time at the beach.
