Chix Beach Gym 1 Mile Daily Challenge This is a club where you are on the honor system and you must run, walk, jog or use a cardio machine to achieve one mile per day. Then post on this page.

It' s the first day of spring everyone! What better time than to challenge ourselves to to complete a mile a day! This program will last for exactly 4 weeks.
1) Set a Goal
2) Work for it
3) Achieve it

Just post on this page once you've completed your mile and have achieved your daily goal. Running, jogging, walking, hiking, using cardio equipment are all accepted. By accepting this challenge, you will look better, feel better, your clothes will fit better, you'll have more endurance, you will be stronger, and you will have more energy for your job, family and living your life. Everyone starts on the same day, TODAY!!! =) We people encourage each other to achieve their individual goals. Speed is non-important. However, you must complete a mile every day. You cannot skip a day no matter what the whether. Otherwise, you are out of the club. Every goal begins with the first step or in this case, the first mile!

Beginning Aug. 3, the Old Beach Farmers Market will relocate to 18th Street. Every Saturday morning through October, parking and vehicular traffic will not be allowed from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 18th Street between Cypress Avenue and Mediterranean Avenue. From November through March, the closures will only happen on the first and third Saturday of the month. A list of dates and details can be found at VirginiaBeach.gov/RoadClosures.
