My birthday was a week ago Monday.

It came and went without much fanfare...and I’m ok with that.

Actually, I prefer it.

You see, when you start to fully love yourself, you realize that you don’t need the fanfare...that all of that can and should be found within.

One realization I did come to was that, even at 41, I will always be a girl who loves fresh flowers.

And here they are, over a week later, still going strong to remind me that resilience and beauty can always be found in the midst of mess if you only take the time to look for it.

Stay strong out there.

Love you.

One thing that has really struck me during all of this is how easy it’s been to let the things that I thought held so much value just fall way.

Life has become simpler and in that simplicity is a sense of peace.

In the midst of all this mess, I find myself quietly in the eye of the hurricane.

We don’t have to get wrapped up in the stress of the media, other people, or even our own negativity.

We can let it all go and hold fast to those things that bring us joy.

Your focus drives your life.

It drives your mood.

It even drives your health.

It’s all a choice.

And I choose joy.

Did you know boundaries are a form of self-love?

When you are able to set a boundary with someone and say this type of behavior is unacceptable, you are putting love for yourself, your mental health, and ultimately, your physical health first.

Self love is much more than pedicures and bubble baths.

It’s the ability to say I deserve better than this.

To say I need to love myself better than I am right now.

To say “hey self...you deserve all the love and effort you so freely give away to others”.

Once you can transform your relationship with yourself, it transforms everything else in life.

You are worthy of love, acceptance, forgiveness, and grace.

But you HAVE to give those to yourself before you can receive them from anyone else.

And once you do, the freedom, love, and joy to be found there is like nothing you’ve ever experienced.

Need help understanding exactly how get there?

I’m a life coach, this is what I do.

PM me.

I love you.

Did you know rosemary and peppermint both help conditions like IBS, indigestion, constipation, and overall gut health?

They are also anti-inflammatory, easy to grow and harvest, and delicious in cooking and as a tea.

I planted my rosemary and mint at least 6-7 years ago.

Every year they keep coming back and giving me their awesome benefits and all I have to do is step outside my back door and harvest it.

There is no better time than now to educate yourself on self-sufficiency and holistic medicine.

The world is in chaos.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

What are you doing now to position yourself and your family for an easier road ahead?

Now is the time to educate yourself.

Watch a few YouTube videos, read a book (or ten), and understand that there is so much power when you become less dependent on the resources outside your home.

Then go outside and put yourself to work.

There are so many physical and mental health benefits in exercise and sunshine...and so much work to be done right outside your back door.

You have everything you need to feel better.

The tools to wash your face, to get up and go for a walk, to reach out to a friend, to make a nourishing meal for yourself, to expand and grow your knowledge.

The tools are there for you.

Why aren’t you using them?

- Things I needed to tell myself today.

Do you throw away your herbal tea bag after just one steeping?

Did you know that there’s still some goodness left in there once you’ve used it?

I brew my teas all day long and just add a new one to the cup (making sure the flavors compliment each other, of course).

It’s a great way to ensure I’m steeping every last herby drop of goodness out of my teas and it’s also a great way to keep track of my hydration for the day.

Do you know how your day affects your mood?

For one day log: 1. Everything you did. 2. How it made you feel.

Include things like: doing your makeup, cooking, folding laundry, binge eating cookies, yelling at the kids, calling a friend, being passive aggressive with the husband, going for a walk, watering the plants, reading, and vegging out in front of the television.

Look over it and the end of the day and see what energized you and what drained you.

Tomorrow, do more of the energizing stuff and less of the draining stuff.

Love you.

My Story

I'm Angela Ianni, the CEO & founder of Overcoming Overwhelm, an 8-week program dedicated to helping overwhelmed mothers find peace, clarity, and direction in their lives.

I provide the tools and support necessary to guide my clients out of their season of exhaustion and overwhelm and into a life they love. I strongly stand for personal accountability and believe that no one deserves to walk this path by themselves.

I have been through my own journey from struggle and self-doubt to joy and self-love. I’ve experienced the deaths of both my mother and mother-in-law...both from cancer...both on hospice...both passed away in my home. I’ve experienced a miscarriage that completely rocked my world and put incredible stress on my marriage. At one point I was struggling with the death of my mother, had developed an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, and had walked away from everything that I held dear....all while learning how to be a new mother. I was miserable. I was lost. I was a shadow of my former self.

I couldn't go on like that. I found a way to scrape, claw, and fight my way back to life through trial and error. I found concepts, systems, and tools that worked and finally found my way back to life, back to my family, and back to the Angela I had forgotten ever existed.
