Virginia Beach Counseling Services VBCS is a counseling agency providing individual, group, and family counseling; testing/assessments; behavioral and academic services.

Our Family Enrichment Center division provides court ordered services and evaluations. Licensed clinicians or Residents in Counseling offer counseling to individuals and families struggling with a variety of issues. Most insurances are accepted. ASAP/Substance Abuse assessments and treatment are available, as well as parenting classes and anger management services. Dr. Preston-Josey offers supervision to Licensed Professional Counselor, LMFT, or LSATP residents. Trainings are provided for counselors for CE’s on various topics, including becoming a counseling supervisor in Virginia or Counseling Military Families.

Our Story

Dr. Preston-Josey offers counseling to individuals and families. She also offers supervision to Licensed Professional Counselor residents in counseling.

Several other licensed providers have joined the practice and have evening and weekend appointments. Play therapy, grief therapy, substance abuse counseling, marital therapy, etc. are offered. Rachel Kraemer, Karen Mattox, Leah Young-Price and Cristina Murphy (bilingual) are available. Counseling is also provided by Residents in Counseling under the supervision of Dr. Preston-Josey for a reduced fee.
