Letâs clear something up.
Deep pressure and deep tissue are not the same thing.
Deep pressure is intensity.
Deep tissue is specificity.
One uses force.
The other uses assessment and layering.
And sometimes?
The body doesnât need more intensity at all.
A muscle that feels tight is often working overtime to stabilize something else.
Adding more force to it can feel relievingâŚ
but it can also reinforce the overload pattern.
This is why I donât default to pressure as the solution.
I default to understanding why your body is organizing itself that way.
Thereâs absolutely a place for deep tissue. I use it.
But if your pain keeps coming back, it might not be a pressure problem.
It might be a pattern problem.
