Every year, approximately 400,000 ACL injuries occur in the United States. A torn ACL does not heal without treatment, making ACL reconstruction one of the most common orthopaedic procedures.

Meet Brandon Layne of Granby High School — our AOS Male Athlete of the Month!

A member of the Class of 2026, Brandon is a standout Indoor Track athlete competing in Pole Vault, Long Jump, High Jump, and Triple Jump. His dedication and talent have helped him become a 2× Regional Champion, District Champion, and State Qualifier.

Brandon is also a true scholar-athlete. He maintains an impressive 4.04 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society and Computer Science Honor Society, and contributes to the Granby Strolling Strings and Orchestra, where he plays three different instruments. In addition to track, he’s also a dual-sport athlete, helping lead Granby’s Boys Volleyball team to a State Runner-Up finish.

Brandon’s commitment to excellence both in the classroom and in athletics makes him a remarkable role model for his teammates and community.
