Quishana “Brooklyn" Whitaker | Cross Country | Booker T. Washington High School | Class of 2029

Brooklyn has made an incredible impact in her first high school cross country season, consistently placing in the Top 25 and showing impressive growth throughout the year. She ran in the State Tournament and also recorded a strong personal best of 22:09, demonstrating her dedication, grit and competitive spirit.

Her hard work, consistency and drive make her one to watch, and we are proud to celebrate her success.

Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists’ Dr. Austin Nabet was a featured speaker last weekend at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) Annual Meeting, one of the nation’s leading conferences for hip and knee specialists.

Held annually in Dallas, the AAHKS Meeting brings together more than 4,600 surgeons and healthcare professionals to explore the latest advancements in implant design, outcomes, surgical techniques, and total joint arthroplasty.

Dr. Nabet spoke during the Brasseler USA session, leading case discussions on revision knee surgery and highlighting how innovative tools are helping surgeons make complex cases more efficient and precise.

We’re proud to see Dr. Nabet representing AOS and contributing to the ongoing advancement of orthopaedic excellence. 👏

Since 1974, the Neptune Festival has honored outstanding citizens who exemplify leadership, service, and community spirit. Male Athlete of the Month: Jonah Burrus

Congratulations to Granby High School senior Jonah Burrus ( #18) for being named AOS's September Male Athlete of the Month! 🏈🤼‍♂️🏀

Jonah is a 3-sport athlete and a dedicated 4-year varsity football player, excelling as a wide receiver and defensive back. He was also a regional finalist and state qualifier in wrestling and continues to prove himself as one of the hardest-working players on the field. 👏

With over a 3.0 GPA, Jonah shines just as much in the classroom as he does in athletics. Known for his drive, leadership, and putting others before himself, Jonah is a true example of what it means to be a student-athlete. 📚✨
