Bayside Health & Rehab has the best team there is! Today we thanked our staff for all their hard work by hosting a walking taco bar with all the fixings. We also had staff vote for each other and we gave out awards for "Bayside's Most Likely to..." and the winners were:
Most likely to quit today and still show up for work tomorrow - Deneshae Newby
Resident Whisperer (the staff member who can calm any resident, no matter the situation) - Shanita Wingate
Knows Where Everything Is (Scissors? Hoyer? The good pen? They know exactly where to find it!) - Euronda Pledger
The "You Good?" Award (for the person who checks on everyone - staff, residents, visitors, and even delivery drivers) - Brian Brewer
Coffee Is My Blood Type Award (for the employee permanently attached to their coffee cup) - Theresa Johnson
If I Don't Do It - It Won't Get Done Award (for the person who steps up and handles whatever needs to be done) - Penny Martin
Always In Two Places at Once (for the person who magically appears in rooms, at the med cart, and at the nurses' station - all at the same time) - Andrea Dunn

Thank you to Mary Ellen, Jill, and Susan from the Thoroughgood Garden Club for helping us create beautiful flower arrangements today! You definitely brightened up our day with a variety of colorful blooms to enjoy.

What better way to spend a rainy afternoon than to go out to lunch together? Our residents had a great meal today at the Brickhouse Diner. The food was outstanding and the service was great but spending time with friends was the best part!

Love was in the air at Bayside today! Our residents had a fun day with Easy-Peasy Heart Art, Valentine's Day Trivia, and a Sweetheart's Dance in the afternoon, complete with sparkling cider, fresh fruit, and cheese. Happy Valentine's Day from everyone at Bayside! 💖

To celebrate February, the month of love, Bayside Health & Rehab wanted to do something heartfelt for the heroes of the building. Everyone agreed that Bayside's heroes are our VOLUNTEERS! We are blessed to have so many dedicated volunteers in the building that give of their time, their talent, and their resources and ask for nothing in return. Today, to show them how much we appreciate everything they do, we hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Brunch. "Thank you" does not even begin to convey how much these volunteers mean to this community. So, here are some pictures to show our gratitude - from the heart.
