The National Transfer Registry App

The National Transfer Registry App Available for free on the Apple App Store and soon on Google play. The app provides telephone contact information as well as hospital size.

The National Transfer Registry, or theNTR, is a mobile application to search for hospitals within the distance you select, to help with patient interfacility transfers. The National Transfer Registry, or the NTR, is a mobile application to search for hospitals within the distance you select. Motivated by severe hospital overcapacity issues, this mobile app was created by frontline personnel to pro

vide other frontline personnel a listing of potential receiving facilities, sorted by distance from your location. On Apple and Android:

We will be rapidly rolling out other useful features to help make your shift a little easier including:

* Directory of all United States interfacility EMS transport agencies.
* Directory of all United States nursing homes
* Ability to take notes with each transfer project to share amongst team members and print out as a PDF for medical records. For example, team members could note that you are already on a waitlist for a given hospital, minimizing repeat calls etc.
* Directory of all skilled nursing facilities in the USA.
* The bed status of every receiving hospital in America, shown by a green, yellow, red status. This is an approximate probability that a hospital will have a bed, an EMS agency can do a transfer, or a nursing home can take a patient. This will be updated in REAL-TIME by hospital operations managers, transfer nurses, dispatchers and so on.
* Receiving hospitals and EMS agencies can update their probability of yes or no instantly on the fly from the app with just a swipe right swipe left type functionality, thereby minimizing the onslaught of calls for transfer.
* Phone Notifications when a hospital changes its status from red to yellow / green.
* Facility status of multiple useful categories such as peds, adult, intensive care, med-surg, paramedic, critical-care, air-medical etc. The current state for many of us having to call at times 50 or more hospitals just to be told no and the brutal reality of receiving facilities having to say no over and over, is an unacceptable but unavoidable waste of time. The NTR app hopes to mitigate this, even if just a little. Our goal is a small win for frontline personnel. With the coming iterations, we hope to minimize this waste of precious time by at least providing a list of hospitals by distance and soon, showing the probability of a yes or no in the realms of receiving facilities, interfacility transport and skilled nursing facilities.

Dearest friends, and family, it’s been a while since I shared anything but purdy pictures. Just saying hello and throwing out a few updates

First, and pleased to move into a new phase, now focused 100% on clinical Emergency Medicine at VMH. Healthcare is crazy and scary these days as we know, and to focus on helping patients replenishes them batteries.

Have forged some radical partnerships this year, announcements coming in short order, connectioned to our beloved Viroqua Public Market and beyond. Can you say Aronia melanocarpa?

Personally, focusing all my energy energy on joining teams with a vision to seek loving regeneration in all areas of living. Why not! Our greatest attribute as a species is exponential adaptability, let’s go hard on that. A loose alliance of teams, exchanging seeds, literally, and so to speak. Solutions not protest. Freaking change the world with the lasting positive collective effect.

OKayyyy, another weird pitch….

You may know, we successfully launched a mobile app that exists to help medical teams in the trenches, be slightly less burdened by our current logistical nightmare. Helping medical personnel, so they can best help our patients.

Here’s the thing, do you have an earth shattering digital invention worked out in your mind?!?? I know some of you do.

The development squad we work with has cleared their desk and can take on another project immediately. Not exaggerating that we could take a cool idea and get it listed on the App Stores (both) weeks from a handshake. It’s insane. (and for perhaps 1/5 of the cost of other dev shops).

So if you have a cool idea that the world could use to make it a little better, send me a message, and we can brainstorm and see if it’s feasible to collaborate.

Peace!
Tony
