Our growing public accounting and law firm located in the idyllic Driftless region of southwest Wisconsin is seeking a qualified individual to join the organization. Looking for an individual with great attention to detail who is accurate, conscientious, and strives to improve. Ability to work in a professional friendly manner to serve the tax and accounting needs of our delightfully diverse clientele. Must hold office information in the strictest confidence. Accounting education required. QuickBooks and payroll experience required. Income tax preparation experience highly preferred.
This is a full-time position. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, vacation pay, and flextime.

Primary Responsibilities
• Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payrolls in a timely manner
• Client and office accounting using QuickBooks
• Maintain friendly, professional relationships with clients and colleagues
• Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
• Complete tax forms and assist with tax preparation
• Other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
• Proven QuickBooks experience
• Experience with payroll production and payroll tax filings
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with calendaring and e-mail software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• Ability to follow our procedures
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• 3 years of accounting experience or 2-year accounting degree preferred
