Primary Responsibilities
• Process accounts payable and handle payrolls in a timely manner
• Client accounting using QuickBooks
• Maintain friendly, professional relationships with clients and colleagues
• Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
• Complete tax forms and assist with tax preparation
• Other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements
• Proven QuickBooks experience
• Experience with payroll production and payroll tax filings
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with calendaring and e-mail software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• Customer service orientation
• Ability to follow our procedures
• Willingness to engage in training opportunities
• 3 years of accounting experience or 2-year accounting degree preferred

"Old-world craftsmanship" describes the creed of Jon Lund of La Farge, historic building preservation expert. He installed the tile in the entry alcove of our building at 124 West Court Street in Viroqua. The design is fashioned out of 1-inch porcelain tile installed on reinforced concrete. It should last 100 years or so. Entry alcoves paved with porcelain tile or travertine marble were popular in buildings built around the turn of the last century. Many fine but aging examples can be seen in La Crosse. To our knowledge, this is the only paved storefront entry in Viroqua. The concept came from Architect George Gibson of Bigfork, Montana, who drew the plans to restore our 1890s building. Thanks also to the Viroqua Chamber of Commerce, who helped us out with a facade grant.

To our beloved farmers:
The Wisconsin Farm Support Program is a federally funded program that will provide $50 million of relief to farmers. The minimum amount is $1,000 and the maximum amount is $3,500. The funds will be distributed after all applications are received and reviewed. Payments will be sent July 15.
