Through our Junior Medical Academy, students in grades K–8 get hands-on exposure to the exciting world of healthcare. From learning real-life skills like CPR and suturing, to exploring careers like paramedics, surgeons, and more.

Each session is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and show students what’s possible for their future- all through interactive lessons, engaging activities, and real-world experiences.

We’re not just teaching, we’re helping students discover purpose, passion, and pathways into meaningful careers.

After a thorough and highly competitive review process, True North HealthWorks is pleased to announce the selection of 27 scholarship recipients, an increase from last year’s amount of 15 scholarship recipients. Each candidate demonstrated an exceptional commitment to improving local healthcare access, and dedication to helping underserved populations, making the selection process both rigorous and rewarding. The chosen recipients distinguished themselves through their achievements, commitment to their career goals, and alignment with the mission of our scholarship program.

This upcoming Fall selected scholarship recipients will be attending College of the Sequoias, West Hills College-Lemoore, CSU Fresno, CSU Monterey Bay, CSU Fullerton, Point Loma University, UCSD, UCLA, UCSB, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, and UC Davis.

We commend all applicants for their impressive efforts and extend our sincere congratulations to this year’s selected scholars!

We had the honor of marking 5 years of growth, connection, and purpose- surrounded by an amazing community that has supported us every step of the way. From our ribbon cutting to celebrating alongside the Tulare Chamber of Commerce, Central Valley Community Foundation, our Tulare Health County Partners, and many familiar faces- it was truly a day we won’t forget.

This moment also marked an exciting new chapter as we officially stepped forward as True North HealthWorks.

Our Education Department, inspiring early passion for medical education at the K–8 and junior levels.
Our Career Pathways Division, helping high school and college students navigate their future through mentorship, scholarships, and the development of a regional simulation center.
Our Practice & Career Solutions Department, providing the career, business, and operational support that empowers healthcare professionals and organizations to thrive.

We are incredibly grateful for the recognition, the relationships, and the journey that brought us here- and even more excited for where we’re going.
