Big changes are in motion… 👀

If you’ve been with us at Driven, you know we’ve always been about more than just therapy. We’ve been about purpose, performance, and results.

And now, it’s time to evolve.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll see Driven grow into two exciting new brands:

👉 Everyday Athlete Sports Physical Therapy & Performance - for athletes and active adults looking for a better, more complete physical therapy solution to help them move better, live pain-free, and perform at their best.

👉 Nine Under - our golf performance program reimagined, built to not only help golfers gain consistency, power, and longevity in the game they love, but to completely transform their game so they can be the golfer they’ve always dreamed of being.

We're still the same team, providing the same incredible client experience, and still delivering elite results … just with a bigger vision and a sharper focus.

🎯 These improvements are happening throughout the month of June, and we can’t wait to show you what’s coming.

Stay tuned - and thanks to our amazing community for growing with us.

Key Areas for Mobility in Golf⛳️

Let's identify the areas where stretching and mobility make the most impact for golfers. These include:

1. Hips: The hips are central to your golf swing. Limited hip mobility often results in compensations in other areas of the body, leading to poor swing mechanics and potential back pain.🏌️

2. Shoulders: Shoulder mobility is essential for a full, fluid backswing and follow-through. If your shoulders are tight, you might struggle to rotate properly, which affects both power and control.

3. Thoracic Spine: The upper back is a key player in your ability to rotate fully and smoothly during your swing. If you experience tightness here, it can cause your swing to become more mechanical and less fluid.

4. Ankles and Wrists: Although less obvious, ankle and wrist mobility can affect your balance and the control of your club. Good mobility in these areas helps you maintain a stable base during your swing.

Mental Performance Monday☀️

Baseball isn't just physically demanding; it's mentally challenging, too. Mental fatigue can affect your focus, causing you to make bad decisions that could lead to injury. Being mentally prepared to handle pressure, stay focused, and manage fatigue is an important part of staying injury-free.

How Working With A Mental Performance Specialist Helps:

• Stress Management: Learning to manage stress and maintain a positive mindset can help reduce the risk of injury by improving focus and decision-making on the field.🧠

• Visualization: Using mental imagery to visualize proper form and technique can help prevent injuries caused by poor mechanics.👀

• Staying Present: Learning how to stay in the moment rather than letting your mind wander can help you avoid risky plays that may lead to injury.

Just because you can push through pain doesn't mean it's helping you build strength or toughness…

In fact, ignoring pain can lead to serious injuries like stress fractures, tendonitis, or muscle tears that can sideline you for weeks, or even months. When your body sends you pain signals, it's telling you something is wrong. It's your built-in "Check Engine" light! 🆘

Real toughness comes from listening to your body, recognizing when it needs rest, and using proper recovery techniques. Pushing through the pain may give you temporary satisfaction, but smart runners know that taking a break and recovering properly will keep them running stronger in the long run!

Running isn't always smooth strides and endorphin highs - sometimes, your body likes to remind you that it's not invincible. From your shins sending SOS signals to your Achilles staging a full-on protest, the world of running injuries can be a real pain in the... well, everywhere. 🏃‍♀️

Whether it's the sharp sting of shin splints or that constant nagging from runner's knee, your body can sure throw some curveballs when you're chasing those miles. Throw in IT band syndrome (because who doesn't love a tight, cranky band on the outside of your knee?) and the dread of stress fractures, and suddenly your next run feels more like a game of "How many injuries can I avoid today?"

But fear not! With some high-quality training, proper form, and a bit of patience, you can dodge these pesky problems and run strong all year long. 💪🏽

Sitting too much at work or at home binge watching Netflix series? Here are some simple ways to keep your body moving throughout your day 🏃‍♀️

1. Stretch it out every hour - even a quick 30-second stretch can help! Bonus points if you reach so high you almost knock something off your desk.🙆‍♀️

2. Walk while you talk - take your phone calls on thejgo! You'll get your steps in and sound extra productive.📞

3. Desk squats - because why not? Take a little break, squat it out, and remind your legs what they're capable of.

4. Take the stairs - because elevators are overrated anyway! Your legs will thank you, and you'll feel like you just conquered Mount Everest.

Small moves = big difference. Let's break up that sitting and keep our bodies happy 😊 (and our
butts from turning into mush).

You may be wondering "isn't it PT Thursday?" 🤔technically yes, but baseball season in Visalia is here! As a high school or collegiate baseball player, you're probably gearing up for a season full of exciting plays and personal growth. ⚾️ But with that excitement comes the risk of injuries especially when you're pushing yourself to the limit. Whether you're throwing a fastball, swinging for the fences, or running bases, injuries are an unfortunate part of the game. The good news? Many common baseball injuries are preventable with the right approach, and those that aren't preventable can often be healed quickly with the right treatment.

Rise and shine! ☀️ Building a morning routine that actually supports your health isn't about waking up at 5 AM (unless you're into that, no judgment). It's about finding small, consistent habits that set you up for success - like a stretch to wake up your muscles💪🏽, a hydrating glass of water💦, and maybe even a moment of quiet before the world gets loud🗣️. Start with what feels right for you, whether it's dancing around in your PJs or sipping your coffee in peace. Your morning, your rules. And hey, if you manage to get out of bed without hitting snooze 5 times, that's already a win!
