Last night was our annual Appreciation Dinner to celebrate the many people and organizations that supported us during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. These amazing groups have helped us raise nearly $500,000 since the breast cancer fund started with the first Lost Girls Motorcycle ride.

The Lost Girls have retired, but picking up their place were the night's honorees: KJUG radio with Girls & Guitars, The Human Bean's Coffee for a Cure, realtor Casey De Anda's Pink Party, Ruiz Foods' Pink Out day, and American Legion Post 18's 2Gether We Fight Breast Cancer ride. We are so grateful for their selflessness and willingness to help with the cause.

Special thanks also go to the COS Police Department for selling Pink Patches, and to Visalia Mall for hosting another Just Think Pink day in which amazing goody bags were donated by the United Breast Cancer Foundation. They couldn't attend last night and were missed, but celebrated. We look forward to seeing these amazing partners again this October, if not sooner!

Thanks also to Rosa's for once again hosting this fun night.

Sequoia Trex has been a big supporter of the Kaweah Health pediatrics unit for years, donating many toys, games and stuffed animals. They did it again just before Christmas this year and we cannot thank them enough!

This beautiful painting was donated to the Foundation by Jeffrey Dooley, who learned art from The Creative Center here in Visalia. Jeff loves sunrise and the ever-changing colors of the sky, as captured in his work here.

Jeff has been creating for almost 30 years, and he makes art donations to causes that are important to him. We are so grateful to be one of those!

Looking for a fun way to benefit our community? The annual Moonshine Soiree will take place Saturday, February 21st at the Visalia Country Club. Tickets will be on sale next month, so save the date now! Expect an elegant evening will amazing live and silent auction packages, plus heart-touching stories from Kaweah Health Hospice. All proceeds will benefit the Open Arms House, the area's only "social model" hospice home.

One more post on last Friday's Twinkle & Toast Christmas Tree Auction, to say thank YOU to all who attended. Overall we raised nearly $100,000 thanks to generous donors, bidders, sponsors and ticket purchasers.

We were cautiously optimistic about how well we'd do with this first-time event, but we sold out (and then some) well in advance. Our goal is to do this again next year, even bigger and better. If you missed it this year, make sure you come in 2026! We'll let you know when a date and location are finalized. Until then, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and on to the new year and all it will bring!
