It’s that time again… OPEN HOUSE is almost here! 🎉
We love any excuse to celebrate the incredible work happening every day at Visalia Youth Services—and this is our favorite one. From connecting people to resources, to uplifting and supporting our community, we’re all about those good vibes and meaningful impact.

Come see it all in action! Join us on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 as we open our doors to our amazing community members and partners for a day filled with fun, festivities, and free food. You won’t want to miss it!

Spring is in full bloom, and so is our gratitude 💐💛

We want to send a HUGE shoutout to the BLVD Cruisers Central Valley for rolling in with 100+ baskets for the incredible youth we serve! Even a couple weeks later, we’re still smiling thinking about the joy on the faces of children and teens as they received them—so many smiles, so much excitement!

Moments like these remind us that when a community comes together, we can make therapy feel fun, welcoming, and full of connection—while continuing to break the stigma around mental health.

And guess what? This isn’t the last you’ll see of the BLVD Cruisers 👀 Catch them (and many of our awesome community partners) at our Annual Open House on May 13th… more fun details coming soon!

🎃👻 It may be spooky season, but there’s nothing scary at VYS! 👻🎃

This week we hosted our 2nd Annual Halloween Event, and it was a spooktacular success! 🕸️✨ The VYS teams let their creativity shine—bringing to life everything from the Land of Far Far Away, to the World of Pixar, Illumination Studios, some magical witches, and even a blast from the past!

We loved opening our doors to the children, teens, parents, and caregivers we serve. Families arrived in costume, joined in games, and of course enjoyed plenty of sweet treats! 🍭🎨💫

At VYS, we know that mental health care is more than therapy sessions—it’s about building connection, joy, and belonging. Events like this help strengthen those positive relationships and give children and families a chance to relax, express themselves, and simply have fun together. 🧠💜

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event so special. Seeing the laughter, smiles, and excitement reminded us just how powerful community and creativity can be in supporting mental well-being. 💜🧡💚

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, and today, we walked with purpose. 💛
At VYS, one of our core missions is to support those in need and take action to prevent su***de. In recognition of World Su***de Prevention Day (September 10), our team came together to participate in the NAMI Su***de Awareness Run—a 5K walk through the heart of Visalia.

Fueled by coffee, compassion, and our commitment to mental health, we walked in solidarity for those affected by su***de and to raise awareness for the importance of prevention and support.

🎉 Spirit Week at Visalia Youth Services! 🎉

As we gear up to support our amazing kiddos heading back to school, our team at Visalia Youth Services got into the spirit—literally! 🚌📚✨

Last week, we celebrated Spirit Week to energize our staff, build connection, and get everyone excited for the new school year ahead. It was a week full of creativity, laughter, and team bonding, featuring some fun and festive dress-up days:

🏈 Sports Day – We kicked things off repping our favorite teams and showing off our competitive spirit!
👯‍♀️ Twin Day – Staff paired up in matching outfits—double the fun, double the smiles!
🐭 Disney Day – From Mickey ears to princess crowns, we embraced the magic of childhood.
🎩 Crazy Hair & Hat Day – We closed out the week with wild hairstyles and the most outrageous hats we could find!

It was a fun and meaningful way to reconnect as a team and get excited for the important work we do every day. We’re ready and recharged to continue providing compassionate care and support for our youth this school year. 💙

We’re so grateful for every single one of our staff members for being part of the Visalia Youth Services family and for the incredible work they do to support our community. 🧠 Your dedication makes a real difference, and we’re so proud to work alongside such passionate and caring individuals.

A huge shoutout to all of our amazing staff who participated in the Salsa Competition! 🌶 While every salsa was tasty, one lucky staff member walked away with the coveted Golden Molcajete! 🏆🥑

🌸🐰 Hopping into Spring at VYS! 🐰🌸

Last week, our staff were excited to welcome the families we serve for a fun-filled Easter Social! 🎉 Everyone enjoyed delicious snacks, a lively egg hunt, and a chance to take a well-deserved break while celebrating the arrival of spring. 🌷✨

It was the perfect opportunity to relax, connect, and make lasting memories together. We’re so grateful to have such a wonderful community! 💐💛

During the event, we’ll be offering brief presentations about our specialized teams, sharing valuable insights into the groups we facilitate, and creating opportunities to connect you with other outstanding providers in the area. Plus, there will be games, music, delicious food, and plenty of fun to go around!

We're feeling extra LUCKY this March to be able to serve our amazing community and provide mental health support to those who need it most. 💚 But to continue caring for others, it's important we take care of ourselves too! That's why this month, we launched our "Lucky Little Liam" — a playful leprechaun hidden around our clinic for our staff to find, along with a special surprise. 🍀✨ It's these little moments of fun that keep our team chasing the rainbow and bringing their best to our community every day! 🌈
