We’re celebrating a special milestone at Lifeline. 🎉

This month marks two years since Lisette Islas stepped into her role as CEO.

Over the past two years, Lisette has guided Lifeline through growth and change with a steady hand and a clear sense of purpose. Her leadership has helped strengthen our organization while keeping our work grounded in the people and communities we serve.

We’re grateful for the way she leads: thoughtfully, collaboratively, and by bringing laughter and joy in any space she enters.

Our Club Crown Heights college readiness program provides learning, connection, and support for our students and their families after the school day ends. It’s a place where local youth build community, gain confidence, and celebrate their growth along the way. 🎓

Thanks to Nordson Corporation’s support and partnership, our youth can obtain the tools they need to succeed and imagine a future of limitless possibilities. ✨

As we welcome the new year, we are reminded of the power of community and the possibilities that emerge when we show up for one another.

With your support we were able to build stronger futures for more than 25,000 youth, adults, and families across San Diego.

This holiday season, generosity showed up in the most meaningful ways. 💚

Because of our community, families across San Diego received more than gifts. They received care, encouragement, and a reminder that they are not alone. From essential household items to moments of connection, each act of kindness helped make the season brighter.

Our Adopt-A-Family program brought together 357 donors, supported 312 families, and reached nearly 1,400 individuals—proof of what’s possible when a community comes together with heart.

To everyone who donated, volunteered, shared, or supported this effort in any way, thank you. Your kindness continues to strengthen the services we provide to youth, adults, and families throughout San Diego.

Congratulations to all RESPECT Project graduates! Today, we celebrated the largest graduating class to date.

Lifeline is proud of your dedication, growth, and accomplishments.

The RESPECT Project is a youth mentorship and personal development program that supports participants through guidance, accountability, and positive community relationships, while also connecting families to needed resources.

Thank you to Councilwoman Maria Nieto of San Marcos and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Deputies for partnering with Lifeline to deliver high-quality behavioral health services and ongoing support to today’s graduates and their families.

Lifeline Community Services and the Bilateral Safety Corridor Coalition co-hosted a session at the County of San Diego’s Live Well Conference, highlighting ways to identify barriers and adapt services to better support survivors of human trafficking.

At Lifeline, we believe change happens when we listen, learn, and refine our approach through a trauma-informed lens. This model strengthens anti-trafficking efforts and guides programs serving people experiencing homelessness, substance use, and domestic violence.

As Ashley Johnson from Project LIFE shared, “It’s a privilege getting to be part of someone’s healing journey.” Together, we work alongside survivors to help them see their full potential and shape systems that evolve with their needs. 💜
