🦷 “What is a dry socket?”
Spoiler alert: it’s exactly as unpleasant as it sounds. 😬

After a tooth is removed, a blood clot normally forms to protect the bone and nerves underneath. But when that clot gets dislodged (or never forms), you’re left with exposed bone, lots of pain, and a fast pass to nope-ville.

That’s a dry socket.

Symptoms can include:

🔥 Throbbing pain a few days after surgery
🦴 Visible bone in the socket
😖 Pain that radiates to your ear or jaw
🤢 Bad taste or odor in your mouth
