How cute are these Valentine's Day cards? They were made by a Next Steps graduate who started his own greeting card business and we are so proud of him. If you would like to support his endeavor, these cards are available to purchase in the front office for $5 each💌❤️.

We are so proud of our clients! Next Steps believes in discharging as soon as possible to allow our clients the opportunity to use their amazing skills out in the community. The parents and caregivers are the most impactful members of the team as it is their hard work at home that leads to discharge. Congratulations, kiddo! You did it!

One of our cuties here to remind you that we are hosting a Thanksgiving food drive! If you would like to participate, we will be accepting donations all throughout November. At the end of the month, all of the food will be donated to North County Food Bank. We appreciate your generosity in helping us support our community!

Late Halloween post because we were having too much fun celebrating🕷️🎃🕸️. October was a fun-filled month with themed activities and decorations - like these spooktacular critters our clients made for our front window!

Even though it is no longer Autism Awareness month, it is still important to continue spreading awareness and advocating for our neurodivergent loved ones.

It is our job as service providers to educate ourselves to ensure that our practice is evidence-based and culturally sensitive. A process that is continuous throughout our careers.

Our SLPs love WORDLESS books! Weird, right? Picture books tap into our creativity.

They create boundless reading experiences and encourage our kiddos to simply communicate.

This can be a fun way to allow your kiddo's language skills to shine through.

It can be a relationship building moment by having your kiddo "read" to you instead of us always reading to them.

Let's add another layer of fun - why not bring out Chalk book to life by illustrating on the concrete outside.

"The Autism Society San Diego is hosting Autism’s Got Talent Live! on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 2pm to 3pm at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.  Through a collaboration with Mainly Mozart of San Diego, we are able to hold an outdoor, live event featuring contestants from the Autism’s Got Talent 2020 competition.  There will also be performances by Mainly Mozart's San Diego Youth Orchestra.

Attendees will be able to watch the show from their cars-think drive in style!  Guests may bring their own refreshments to enjoy during the performances either in their car or "tailgate" style.  We will be exhibiting artwork by local autistic artists curated by the Art of Autism"
