In 2022, public fire departments responded to an estimated 1,504,500 fires in the United States, of which 522,500 occurred in structures, 220,000 occurred in vehicles, and 760,000 occurred in outside properties.
We need more firefighters and Fire departments!
In 2022, A fire department responds to a fire somewhere in the United States every 21 seconds.
Volunteer departments are disappearing, career slots are being left open and crews are running short handed.
