Grief Connections

Who Does Grief Serve? -
The answer to that question is ‘you;’ grief only serves the one who is grieving. It enhances your perceptions, increases your understanding of the world around you, and it will, in the end, make you a better, stronger person – if you wish it to do so.

This is not to say that some people don’t end up bitter, instead of better. That describes my father’s reaction to loss; his anger and resentment just eats at him – making him a miserable person to be around. Don’t let that happen to you.

Activity of the Day

Take a moment and write in your journal an answer to this question: “Who do I want to be in a year’s time?” And then set about to become that wonderful, insightful, witty, wise person. All beings in your world will benefit from your experiences, and your new persona.

Quotation of the Day

“Grief drives men into habits of serious reflection, sharpens the understanding, and softens the heart.” ~ John Adams

“Small lights have a way of being seen in a dark world.” – Neal A. Maxwell.

Tammy Sue George Padier of Lytle, Texas went to be with our Lord and Savior in the early hours of January 10, 2024 at the age of 54 years. In her spare time, you could often find Tammy Sue making a nice meal for her family after a day of fishing. In her earlier years she enjoyed doing masonry work. She was a devout Christian and mother to her son, Brandon. She is remembered by all as a kind and caring soul who you could easily distinguish by her great singing voice. She will be extremely missed by all those who knew and loved her. Tammy Sue leaves behind her beloved son, Brandon; Partner, Andrew of Lytle; WJ, brother of Austin as well as by many nieces nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Tammy Sue is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ricky; father, William; mother, Nora; sister, Jeannie Lea; as well as by grandparents, aunts, uncles, and loved ones.
Services for Tammy Sue will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 with visitation from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Camero Funeral Home Chapel. A prayer service will be held that night at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
